Re: NRA Financial Problems, last ever Silhouette Nationals?

I have been reading articles concerning the money woes that the NRA is having and I wonder if there will be an NRA next summer that is in a position to have silhouette national championships. I have noticed the tone of the letters from the NRA requesting more money have changed. They seem more desp...

Re: 2019 Ridgway "Other" Matches

For those who aren't fans of NRA sanctioned events or who like silhouette shooting of a more offbeat nature, please consider these club level matches at the Ridgway Rifle Club: - Military Rifle, May 11, August 18 and October 13 - Cast Bullet Championship, June 8 & 9 - Lever Action Jubilee, October ...

Re: Winchester 350 Legend

This is nothing more than a 357 Maximum rimless has been around for years. Starline sells the 223 basic brass. If they build a 24" barreled lever for this round. You have a viable rifle for short and long range.

Re: WTS: Rubber Scope Dust Caps

Bought flexible pipe caps from McMaster Carr for $8-$13 for a bag of 100. Kept what I needed and gave the rest away to other shooters. Just measure the size you need.

Re: Smallbore Hunter Pistol 12" rule

Wouldn't it be nice to include the .22 LR Mare's Leg in Smallbore Hunter Pistol? However, the barrel is 0.875" too long to qualify. What are the chances the NRA silhouette committee will make a rule change to include that pistol? I'm certain Henry Repeating Arms won't shorten the barrel for a niche...

Re: Any Scope Actually Made In USA?

These are the counterfeit scopes that Leupold references on their website. There is no Leupold warranty whatsoever. You have been had . For $66 I got a very nice scope that is clear and sharp. It holds zero, and clicks are positive. Michael [/quote] No you bought a counterfeit cheap Chinese knockof...

Re: Any Scope Actually Made In USA?

A couple of years ago I was asked to photograph a large warehouse facility just outside of St. Louis. The factory there had produced aluminum scope tubes for Leupold - the company had shut down when Leupold moved the manufacturing to China. I just bought a new, in the box, Leupold guaranteed Gold R...

Re: Any Scope Actually Made In USA?

I learned last weekend that Vortex scopes are made in Williamsport, PA. by Europtics. At least they are assembled there. No, Europrics is seller, they may have told you they can ship for repairs. The assembly of a couple of the Razors are assembled in Wisconsin as well as all repairs are done there...
