Re: Awards question, your opinion..

The way Dustin runs the year long club match is probably the best way to get attendance and new shooters to come back. Since it is handicapped anyone has a chance to win if you simply keep improving you should be able to beat all the Master class shooters. Then just give out one nice prize for the e...

Re: time delay

Then you wouldn't have 30 seconds or so to ponder the next five shots after hitting the first 5 turkeys! =)) The 30 seconds is nothing and I usually have about a minute left on time so its a 90 second break for me. After a long marathon match gets to the end you are tired enough with 5 shot banks. I...

Re: Do Your Numbers Ever Change after Sight In?

All I am sure about is that is was 1/5th scale at 100m, typical smallbore Ram setup. There was no write up so to say its a picture does all the talking type deal

To summarize according to Tureau "You gotta work them knobs, hoss" was the write up =))

Re: Do Your Numbers Ever Change after Sight In?

Posted this awhile back but here it is again. What you are seeing in the picture is Tureau's experiment. He setup a scope on a tripod and centered the dot at 7am then came back at roughly one hour increments and viewed where the dot was appearing on the target and marked the locations. This was just...

Re: Shooting for money/jackpot shot

I'm surprised you had that many people hitting chickens at the ram line. I would think that is an extremely difficult shot. We don't have many master class shooters in our matches (more often than not we don't have any). I would think a AAA shooter could not hit 1 out of 3 shots. A chicken at the r...

Re: Shooting for money/jackpot shot

I gave up running the chicken shoot off. The pot never got any real money in it since several people would usually hit a chicken or two. And that was with only giving away 20% of the pot for a hit in an attempt to get it to build up. Nope never did. We tried to do it and get people to try harder for...

Re: FWB 600

Good rifle but the 600 had issues with the cocking arm pin on most of them. Make sure it was updated to the latest fix if you make an offer. The 60x models were all fixed.

Re: First proper match

Nothing wrong with that score. I think I shot a 9 and 11 my first time out using a Remington 597 semi auto and 3x9 scope  Then I upgraded the hammer and sear.. ohhh ahhh I was up to 12-14... Then I decided I was hooked and got a CZ452 Sil and a nice scope... That took me to AAA before I broke d...

Re: Recommended 6.5mm ram bullet

I don't know that I would use the Amax ballistic tips on Rams. I love to use them on CPT in 123gr along with 123 SMK but for Rams in 6.5 I stick with the 142 SMK or the 139 Lapua Scenars. I base this simply on the fact that we tried shooting the rams in Zwolle which are infamous for ringers of most ...

Re: 2015 Louisiana Indoor Air Rifle Silhouette Regional

Have you still room for more shooters? Not candle wick shooters, just shooters. Stay Safe Mark Absolutely! Depending on the number of shooters that show, there's a good chance there is room for everyone to park inside too. ;) The above shot was taken from the firing line. There is well over double ...

Of course if anyone is seriously taking advice from anonymous people they don't know on the internet they probably have a screw loose somewhere anyways..... Holy Crap! That describes me! Because of anonymous people here on the internet I now own an Anschutz 1712 and not a Ruger 10/22 for si...
