Re: UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR NRA SILHOUETTE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Taps, the last i knew it was not the Raton Nationals or the New Mexico Nationals it is the US Nationals. So to me that says anywhere in the US just like sb/hp.As the Kentucky Derby and the Indianapolis 500 are named to specific locations. Also there has been plenty of support to rotate the location ...

Re: Weatherby Mark XXII

I have one and it shoots very well. Shot a few matches in the past with it. The comb is a bit low and it is very light. I believe there were a few shot at the Nationals this year. It is a 64 Anschutz wearing a nice high gloss Wetherby stock.

Re: Survey

I dont think shooting 2 60 shot matches a day for HP is a very good idea for a Nationals. By the end of each day you have fired the equivalent of a extra 40 shot match in one day. That is just to much with the HP guns.

Re: 2020 National Championship Dates

The warm up match at Ridgway is a Registered match that way any National records count. We only charge $25 to shoot both guns and this match is usually full for 4 relays. This match does not take the place of any practice days as we open the range to competitors alot earlier in the week than Raton d...

Re: Help for new shooter to lever

Sounds like a broken ejector spring on the 39A. Simple fix. On your front sight i would just buy a new one and file and make it fit. They are only about $40 USD and that way you know you will have no issues. For a 30-30 all the Winchester Commemoratives shoot very well. There is a few different mode...

Re: Any rule changes ?

I just want to assure everyone that we (Ridgway Rifle Club) do want the Nationals but on a rotating basis. We have a great staff as well as community support. But it is just to much to do it every year. If we could rotate sb/hp one year and LAR the next we would be very happy and would be able to pu...

Re: Which 30-30 for Lever Action Rifle Silhouette

The Winchester Commemorative is a hard one to beat. They shoot really well and hold real nice. The 26” barrel makes for a nice sight radius.

Re: 38-55 loads

A shooting partner of mine uses 9.0 of unique with a 240 grain but its a bit lite on rams so in some cases he will use 21 grains of H-4198 with a 250 for rams. Both loads shoot lights out with very little recoil in a Marlin Cowboy.
