Re: Norma Match 22 same as RWS Target Rifle?

Thank you all very much for the feedback.

I tested Norma Match 22 against RWS Target rifle and my Badger-barreled Uberti 1885 High Wall showed a preference for the RWS ammo.
My Winchester 52 liked neither. Now let's see what the Sako Finnfire says...

Norma Match 22 same as RWS Target Rifle?

Is Norma Match 22 the same ammo as RWS Target rifle or is it more like RWS 100?

Thank you in advance!

Re: new build - which 6mm for low recoil but effective

I always like to experiment, Jerry, and the 115 DTACs are not maxed-out. They would blow up on impact.

I went from AA Class in High Power Hunter, using my .260 Rem., to AAA when I started using the 6mm Lapua.

I guess lower recoil does help.

Re: Need aftermarket Stock Sako P94s

Frank is again making a few stocks. He put my Sako Finnfire P94 in one of his stocks and I have ZERO complaints.

Contact Frank Carrillo or Steve Wooster. The both make excellent stocks and do excellent work.

Re: Manuel A. Sinohui

Manny LOVED my daughters and they loved him. I also got to go hunting with him once. He could tell all sorts of stories. He was funny even when he was extremely pissed-off, as Jim can attest to.

I will miss him. Rest in Peace, Viejo Amigo.

Re: new build - which 6mm for low recoil but effective

I went the 6mm X 47 Lapua route.

Hornady 105 grainers pushed at 2700 fps for CPT.

Sierra/Tubb 115 grains pushed at 2650 for rams. 32/33 rams hit have gone down. Dinged ram was hit IN low belly near the leg/body junction (in the painful area) lol.

Re: Are Remington products as crappy as I have read?

One thing that has not been mentioned in this thread is how the rifle's set-up is the primary driver to precision. Yes, precision, not accuracy. Accuracy is the rifle being able to shoot where you aim it. Precision is the ability to put round after round in the same spot. The rules: 1.- Make sure th...

Re: Which 7mm caliber?

While some people like it, I used it for a while and found-it to be marginal on rams with 162 and 168 bullets, pushed as fast as safe pressures allowed. After losing a well hit pig with a 140 grain bullet from a 7 BR in a match in Mesa, Arizona, I had the 7mm BR barrel rechambered to 7mm-08 and neve...
