Re: Want to buy Henry 24" Octagon Barrel .22lr

snaketail2,
Why are you looking to get rid of the 39A?
I've heard great things about the Henry's, but I thought the 39A was THE gun for Smallbore Cowboy!?!

Re: Which youth starter rifle?

I wonder about the Ruger American Rimfire.
Is it any good? It has some adjustment, but will it be short enough and have good enough trigger?

Just throwing one more idea out for someone with experience to chime in on!

Re: Anschutz 1712 2 stage trigger adjustment

Tony, Not trying to be a smart-alec here, so don't take it that way. There have been some good posts here on how to do that, so do a search and I'm sure you can find some. The 1712 trigger came in 2 slightly different flavors the older (pre 2009) 5109 and the newer 5109/2 (which has the side safety)...

Re: Advice on Chronograph - 1st Purchase!

Thanks again for all the input so far! Keep it going, I'm learning a bunch! So, for you guys that own and use a Magnetospeed of various flavors. . . Will they see a pellet from a 10m Target Rifle - going say 560 +/- fps? Trying to get as much use from the chrono as possible!!! Thanks, ShootingStar G...

Re: Remington 7mm-08 with Bull barrel

Doodaddy,
Yeah, I saw that, but it could get to a spot then be straight from there to the muzzle - therefore not be "A hunting style contoured barrel that tapers from chamber to muzzle."

Ya never know, till you ask!

Re: Remington 7mm-08 with Bull barrel

Hey shootmore,
I take it from the description of the barrel "Bull barrel" that it is NOT tapered and therefore does not meet Hunter Rifle rules?

Let me know. Thanks,

Re: Advice on Chronograph - 1st Purchase!

Bobby, That's a GREAT story!!! That guy really knows what he's doing! Like a BOSS - as they say! AND - it's a testament to the old adage "Practice makes perfect!" Did you happen to know what brand of Chrono? Because that model sure can take some abuse! It should last forever if handled "by the book....
