Re: What power scope are you using?

I use a 18-40 Premier boosted Leupold (originally 6.5-20, EFR Air Rifle Scope) set around 32 - 40. Depending on the day's wobble, not depending on the animal.

Re: Texas Silhouette Calendar

. . . . I would think with a gun club named after him, Mark Pharr would support his club a little better with some real knock-down targets. :)) ShootingStar here - aka Greg Chandler I'll be glad to supply him or the range all the knock-down targets they want! I won't say anymore, or this might be n...

Re: Nostalgia

Bob,
I love it!
Nothing wrong with "old school"!
In so many endevaors, "modern" man is realizing those "old wive's tales" really knew what they were talking about!

Keep the old stuff - the good stuff - alive all you want. I'll cheer you on!

Re: Want to buy Henry 24" Octagon Barrel .22lr

snaketail2,
Why are you looking to get rid of the 39A?
I've heard great things about the Henry's, but I thought the 39A was THE gun for Smallbore Cowboy!?!

Re: Which youth starter rifle?

I wonder about the Ruger American Rimfire.
Is it any good? It has some adjustment, but will it be short enough and have good enough trigger?

Just throwing one more idea out for someone with experience to chime in on!

Ray Schafer has left the Range

All, I am sad to announce that Raymond Schafer (79) - long-time Smallbore Silhouette shooter and seller of the famous ductile cast iron Smallbore Silhouette Targets went to be with his Savior on April 4, 2018. Ray was a good man, who introduced many shooters to our favorite sport. He started up and ...

Re: Anschutz 1712 2 stage trigger adjustment

Tony, Not trying to be a smart-alec here, so don't take it that way. There have been some good posts here on how to do that, so do a search and I'm sure you can find some. The 1712 trigger came in 2 slightly different flavors the older (pre 2009) 5109 and the newer 5109/2 (which has the side safety)...

Hey everyone,

Some nice folks caught my mistake - of attaching the wrong file to the NC State Match notice!
I have fixed that, so now you can sign up for the Tournament!

See you soon,
