Of Positive Mind!

I wish I had the money to attend Nationals, some regionals, some other locals, a while back. I didn't start until age 65. I was an A shooter, did not practice, but ENJOYED our local sanctioned matches and the comradery. I still don't have the $$$, was former club director for 4 years, and been out f...

Re: Morr Edge vs D3 Precision Rings

My D3, 1.1 height, clear anodized, arrived the other day and got them mounted on my CZ 452 American with 3/8 dovetail. I slid them on the receiver with a perfect snug fit with a nice perfect snug fit for the 1" Dia. Leupold tube. The inside diameter of the rings, where the halves meet, were smooth a...

Re: What is considered and acceptable group?

With my expert off hand wobbliness, within a 2" circle sounds good to me, sighting in off sandbags, on a good day. :D
If I do better.......good for ME. ;;)

Re: Morr Edge vs D3 Precision Rings

He is currently working on .9 and 1.1" and will be 4 weeks or so, according to him today. Also, he will anodize in different colors, which I don't have a list. I'm waiting for the 1.1" to be released, in Yellow anodized. I surely will be able to pick out my equipment from the rack. lol I wish I coul...

Re: match director in training

I sometimes got mixed up with who was, "squad 1 or squad 2," or light rifle and heavy rifle. I always got "Squad," corrected and would say: Thank you! We always interchange back and forth and all finish at the same time. Two 40 rounds each rifle. We'd have 10 light rifle shooters and maybe 4 heavy r...

Re: Which youth starter rifle?

The way everyone praises the CZ it makes me want to sell off my current silhouette rifle and buy a CZ. I better stop visiting this thread before I,did something I may regret. Well... one thing that is not mentioned too often is that the CZ American stock is sized for a fairly petite adult. I've had...

Re: Rifle cant

That's a good discussion. Shooting a match on Saturday. Will try my more stable cant hold with level set to show that plumb and set zeros and windage and see what happens. In the spring I may try aligning scope crosshair to the level. I concentrate on the dot. Probably comes from bullseye pistol sh...

Re: 2018 Silhouette Goals!

My goal is to come back and be a regular competitor on a weekly basis after being absent 16' and 17'. No promises, but see the sports doctor the 31st. I attended our Monday evening winter indoor 50 foot practice last week and was okay. I have missed the friendships and want to get back. Perhaps help...
