Re: stock question

Does anyone remember if and when they (NRA) had the 7 1/2 dimension that the back of the stock could not drop more than 7 1/2 inches from the center-line of the barrel. ppkny I think that rule was waived for me and some others in the 2014 Nationals, then it was removed entirely before the 2015 nati...

Re: 2019 Revised SB Nationals Dates

Shootingstar, try contacting Silhouette Simplified on Facebook. I believe they are the very gracious people who provide the shooting clinics.

Re: What is your favorite metal polish to polish cases with?

Enough of that silliness. I am just going to tumble my brass with some water and dish soap. No more metal polish, drills and polishing rags for me.

I just hope that I am measuring out the powder correctly.

Small bore is so much easier to shoot. Just buy and shoot.

Re: What is your favorite metal polish to polish cases with?

if you want your brass bright, after the tumbling/cleaning cycle(s), change the water and add a few drops of dish soap and a 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Tumble for another 30-60 minutes. I used to do that but came to the conclusion I really don't care if the brass looks shiny new. Clean is good enoug...

Re: How do most people dry their SS tumbling media?

I bought one of those strainer that sit in a 5 gallon bucket and it works extremely well! A great suggestion. I set the SS media out on a towel to dry. That seems to work fine.

What is your favorite metal polish to polish cases with?

I am running out of Wenol metal polish that I used to use on my motorcycles. What brand of polish does the collective here like to use? Has anyone have good luck at chucking up pieces of brass in a drill to make the polishing go quicker? I am thinking that if I get a larger drill I will be able to f...

If you don't include the equipment, time, ect.ect.ect.
No kidding! I loaded my first 50 .308 cartridges yesterday. I need more bullets.

Take the money you save and buy more powder!

I will think about it. I have not decided if I like to do this reloading thing yet. So far it seems very time consuming.

So to keep beating this horse, I am relatively new to SB Silhouette. I hear horror stories about "the box". What is it, does it have merit, and how do I make sure my equipment complies with it...
Thanks in advance.

Oh no! You had to go and bring up "the Box."

Re: How do most people dry their SS tumbling media?

Thank you everyone. I think I will purchase one of those sifter trays that sit over a 5 gallon bucket and get one of those Frankfort Arsenal magnets to retrieve my steel media. This seems the easiest for me. Whether I dry them in an oven or let them air dry is probably not a big deal since people ai...

Re: How do most people dry their SS tumbling media?

:-o
Just leave the wet media in the tumbler?

I guess I assumed everyone dried the steel media before putting it away.

Ok, thank you for the information.
