That's a great idea!

What is the inside diameter of the tunnel?

Thanks...

Re: Shooting Tunnel

It is great for testing ammo! I feel fortunate that our club has it.

Shooting Tunnel

I have had some questions asked about it so I thought I would share a few photos. Now this is not nearly as impressive as Doodaddy's facility, but our gun-club is very proud of it and it is the only one that I am aware of in the area. https://i.imgur.com/VWraReK.jpg https://i.imgur.com/x8p1n92.jpg h...

in the long run it should only cost you an extra 8-900 for your genius plan! :-\
LOL. It only costs me that much IF I get good enough to warrant a primo gun.

You do have a point Mr. K. Bear about taking a monetary loss.

Re: Anschutz 1761, has that replace the 1712?

Regardless of your scores it matters almost as much how much you like shooting the gun, if your happy shooting a cheap gun sell the expensive gun to someone that appreciates workmanship in fine firearms. Mr. K. Bear, You have a valid point of view and if money was not an object I might even agree w...

Re: Group Size?

Nope, not nearly as nice as yours. I will take some photos and post them of our tunnel but is us not nearly as magnificent as your shooting complex!
Very nice indeed! That looks like a great shooting facility!

Re: Group Size?

Best of luck David! Betting you get what your looking for or even better. Kind of wonder about that tunnel. Is it well ventilated and sound dampened? The shooting house portion has a fan but it is out of order so I leave the door open. You really need double hearing protection if you are shooting a...

Re: Group Size?

Interesting info Jeff, thanks. The math, statistics pretty much supports the position that a person should find a decent rifle, decent ammo and practice. With high power I was always into tinkering with the rifle and ammo and I'm sure it hurt my game more than it helped---we only have so much time ...

Re: Group Size?

Curious why you would ask for 100 yd. when distances are 200 - 500 and 100 accuracy probably is not linear. ppkny I ask because we have a 100 yard long indoor tunnel that pretty much eliminates group size variations due to influence by moving air. I can compare group sizes from different shooting s...

Group Size?

What is considered an acceptable 100 yard, 5-shot group size for HP Silhouette, 2 moa? 1 moa? Smaller yet?

PETE WHO AND HOW MUCH
Pete, is is you know, Pete. I have had the pleasure of meeting Pete and he is a very nice gentleman. I actually bought 2 Leupold FX3 in 25x40 scopes from him before they were discontinued.

I sent you a PM, I hope it gets through.
