Re: NRA Score Reporting Form

Interestingly we had our first high power club match March 24. We shoot two 40's . I used the new form. I opened up the tournament site, put in the tournament ID number, hit the score here at the bottom and the new portal requires the tournament ID again and an Access Code. But Willis I ain't gots ...

It was my belief that our club's competitors, for the most part, were not going to take the time and trouble to make copies of their 2018 score book covers and all related pages and send them to the NRA.
No offence but I assume these are all adults?

Re: Leupold 6.5-20 EFR questions

Don't know what their current backlog is but the 6.5-20 scope I sent in 9 weeks ago is scheduled to be done late this week or early next so it would appear they are busy. Still, I would rather wait then pay the extra $100+ to Leupold.

Re: New NRA Competitions Portal

Seems to be working today. Still has two classifications wrong and one missing but oh well.

Anyone know what the "Your Activity" page is for? Maybe it is a placeholder as things get populated but currently it shows 2018 matches for another club.

Re: New NRA Competitions Portal

I can login and see my personal info but when I try to look at the classifications it boots me back to the login screen.

Re: Squib

My .357 load across all animals is 13.5gr of 4227 with a gas checked 158gr lead semi-wadcutter. This is a medium load for a .357.

I would suggest trying a different primer with the same lot of powder.

Re: Squib

I would not shoot any of that ammo any more, and I would take the remaining stuff and run it across a scale to see how consistent the cartridges are. This is slightly reminiscent of what happened yesterday with a friend. We were shooting .38-40s. His was loaded with a fairly full case of 4227 and a...

Re: Are Remington products as crappy as I have read?

I shot a 2012 factory 700 SPS with the light barrel in 7-08 for several years before re-barreling and truing the action. With the right load it would shoot under 1 MOA.

Re: Scoped Lever action silhouette

BrentD, Yes it will swing out of the way if needed. I made this one. Lens and lens frame are from Champions Choice. Holder is from a clip-on loupe for glasses. I had to make the rod and coupler between the lens frame and clip-on holder. The clip-on holders come in 1, 2 or 3 lens configurations. I us...

Re: Scoped Lever action silhouette

I am farsighted and can't see the front sight very well, sometimes not at all during the winter months when we shoot under the lights at night. That being said I am generally against an official scoped class. Levergun was meant to be simple and affordable though one could argue that a high quality l...

Re: cards

I have an office laminator. Once I shoot a high power match this year I will have 11 cards just for myself… I plan to laminate them all, hole punch them, and put them on a ring… Because that will be so much more compact and simple than the scorebook that also... Kept my scores… All hail Jason! Not ...

Re: NRA Score Reporting Form

Jbolt The form you found does not apply to approved matches. I have not shot an approved match in other NRA courses of fire in a couple of decades but the last time I did I believe the NRA tacked on $2 or $3 per participant in the match. I suspect this will happen in our future. I remember a big st...
