Re: .357 Loads for Plated Bullets

Thanks for all the replys. Part of my goal was to find loads that shoot well in both my 24" Rossi and my 10" Contender. Using powders I had on hand I settled on a couple loads for each bullet. Berry 124 gr hollow point target 4.8 gr Tightgroup 12.0 gr IMR4227 Berry 158 gr flat point thich plated 6.0...

Re: Annual Silhouette Classification FEE

I wouldn't be surprised if some clubs decide not to award a shooter who hasn't paid the classification fee. That would be in spite in my opinion if they want to confirm you have paid. However, the 2019 classification cards don't have an expiration date. The match fee should be payment enough for an...

Re: New reporting work sheets for 2020 approved matches?

They are "excited"... LOL.... Where did you get this letter? This is the info I was wondering about that wasn't included in my approved match packet. Aaron Farmer emailed it to me when I inquired about the online reporting system and mentioned a little communication from the NRA to the match direct...

Re: Match info

Has anybody heard or know what the fee will be this year for our monthly matches? I haven't send any paper work In yet. Free last year, but they said there would be a fee this year. When I spoke to Aaron Farmer a few months ago he was looking at $15 per person per year, similar to the book cost. Th...

Re: Future of the Nationals?

Here in California for the first time since I started shooting metallic silhouettes we did not have a HP or SB rifle silhouette state championships. The La Gloria Silhouette Club in Gonzales will be hosting the state SB & HP this year on two separate weekends. SB on 5/2 (std) & 5/3 (hunter). HP on ...

Re: costs on approved matches

Per Mr. Farmer they are working on the match reporting software to be ready for 2020. Apparently the web interaction is a little different for Silhouette than other competitions. He also indicated they were looking to set a one-time per year competitor fee of $15, similar to the book cost. I got the...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the weight limit change?

If I recall, originally the weight restriction for hunter was 7.5 lbs and later increased to allow for the heavier Anschutz actions. Instead of increasing the weight for hunter rifle I say we have three classes: Production: Any 22 LR as offered by a manufacturer, no mods allowed, 7.5 lb max weight, ...

Re: NRA casification cards

I still have three that were down classified from the get go. Made three attempts to get them corrected. I no longer care. I don't shoot national matches so what difference does it make. At local matches I just signup in my correct class.

Re: Card apply one match shot

When the match director sends in the scores for the match they need to include your NRA number if you are a NRA member OR supply your contact information so they can put you in the system, set your classification and some day send you a card.

Morr Edge vs D3 Precision Rings

Just posting for information sake. Morr Edge Silhouette: $85 shipped. Mine took two weeks to get with no confirmation on shipping. Each ring with screws weights 25.4 grams (0.9 oz). They came unfinished with minimal to no deburring so tool marks are visible and the use of a fine jewelers file was ne...
