Is that Emmett D from 2019 Raton team "suspiciously delicious" :D ?
I'm like a dog... I tend to chew on or pee on everything... not my team though I did name it... :)

Re: .357 or 30-30 or what caliber for Rifle silhouette

I saw A LOT of XLR's at the nationals... they shoot well. I prefer a little more weight with the 1894 centennials but you can't go wrong with either. 30-30 of course. Yes you can shoot other things but you will have limitations.... If you only shoot a couple CLA matches a year you can buy white box ...

Re: Lever Action Silhouette National Championship Update

Doesn't matter what class you shoot. Prepare and shoot your best, you might be surprised with the results. It is BEAUTIFUL up there and worth the trip if you can stand the car ride or plane/car ride. Simply gorgeous. Well run matches, nice people, fantastic facilities... I mean it's not the beach in...

Re: Lever Action Silhouette National Championship Update

“Believe” it was 148. One large family couldn’t make it, one family had car issues in route and there were some other issues that some had to deal with. Good bunch of people this year and the matches ran VERY well. Huge thank you to Jeanne and her entire staff. Weather was about as good as you could...

Re: Them dang score books...

I'm going to be at Raton next week and I would like 6 of the books. How do I locate you there? I'll be the grey haired guy shooting a lever action... lol He'll be the bald-headed really ugly guy with the little white books. =)) That is fairly accurate... :) Text or call when you get there. 71358235...

Re: .22LR Standard or Highspeed?

Not saying they may or may not work in your rifle, just saying they are specifically made for 22LR AR upper conversions using the 1/7-1/9 twist AR barrels... 60gr should help knocking down PC pigs... it's overkill for SB pigs though.... again, I know some ranges can't afford 2 sets of animals and us...

Re: .22LR Standard or Highspeed?

There was a pig rail that leaned forward at one club for small bore lever action. Dinging or turning these pigs was fairly common even with high velocity ammunition. I bought a few boxes of this 60gr 22lr ammo. The accuracy at 50 meters wasn't great, but it was good enough to be useful. The pigs th...

I shoot .22 magnum in smallbore. I have learned in silhouette that you should always bring more gun than you need.

Re: .22LR Standard or Highspeed?

I ALWAYS shoot what ever is the most accurate in a rifle. I'd rather hit and ring then not hit.... If you are ringing pigs and rams it's because they are not standard smallbore thickness/weight animals. I personally wouldn't worry about it. Conditions should be the same for everyone and if you are r...
