Re: cards

I decided to just avoid the middle man and printed my own cards. So much easier this way! ;)

Re: What do you typically do, when

Hey Dave, just scoop the case into your powder, push the extra off the top with your finger (leaving it heaped would be too much!) then seat the bullet carefully. Max load my ass! ;)

i'm going to say it just so someone doesn't blow a gasket, of course I'm kidding....

Re: Another reloading question.

I use Varget powder, so the hodgdon site has an online book that has starting load data for just about everything I do.

http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle

You might try there for one opinion, but you'll have to work up loads on your own anyways....

Have any of you used the V-Brite reticle in your Vortex scopes? It is a 0.4 moa dot from the factory.
Yes, that is the reticle that was in my vortex. Just never put a battery in it or turned it on, the dot was black when it was off and did just fine.

Re: What is your favorite metal polish to polish cases with?

When I tumble my brass wet with steel pins I put in a couple drops of dawn, and a squirt of lemi-shine. They come out clean and fairly shiny.

Hand polishing....geeze dave I think you may have too much time on your hands!

Re: stock question

Does anyone remember if and when they (NRA) had the 7 1/2 dimension that the back of the stock could not drop more than 7 1/2 inches from the center-line of the barrel. ppkny I think that rule was waived for me and some others in the 2014 Nationals, then it was removed entirely before the 2015 nati...

Re: How do most people dry their SS tumbling media?

Dave, for the magnet I got one at harbor freight for 3 bucks that works great. It has a yellow shaft and a black plastic head with the handle to release the pins. Take the money you save and buy more powder! Also I use the plastic tray that sits on a 5 gallon bucket too, it works like a charm. Good ...

Re: Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x

This is the scope I started with as well. It worked fine and had zero problems in the 2 seasons I used it. Upgraded to a Fx3 or I would probably still be using it.

Re: How do most people dry their SS tumbling media?

I don't dry it. After I use my magnet to pull it out of the dirty water I put it back in the tumbler and rinse it well. Then I just leave it there. Haven't had a problem yet.

Re: Anyone tried the Geissele Super 700 trigger yet?

I have a Geissele 2 stage in my scar 17. Love it. It breaks at 2 1/2 pounds and has a great feel to it. I know it is a totally different trigger, but I like the Geissele product. Just sayin.

Close the bolt. Insert dowel. Mark end of barrel. Remove dowel. Measure.

Re: Rules 1.6(e) 1.7(d) 2.12 No State Membership Required

This is why we quit having a state championship match at our club. It is now just the Missoula Invitational. Our state RPA demanded all entrants be state members, otherwise they wouldn't sanction the event. So we dropped it. Kinda sad since now there is NO Montana state championship.
