Re: 2019 Louisiana Indoor Air Rifle Silhouette Regional Match

It's the week of the match! If you're still considering whether or not to come out, definitely do. We're turning no one away! I've been working with https://www.twincitydesigns.com/ on a shirt design for the Coop and I'm super pleased with the turnout. He did a stellar job on ours and has some cool ...

Re: Proposed Steel Chickens Forum Registration Process

All reports I've seen concerning registration issues are regarding never receiving the activation key email. I just attempted creating a new username and the creation process involves a CAPTCHA and two factor authentication (the confirmation email). The email was never sent. This is probably an SMTP...

Re: Rifle for big bore lever gun

For whatever reason, the Win 94 Canadian Centennial's always sell for less than the other commemoratives, and there are usually a bunch of them on GB. If you are even a little patient you should be able to pick up one for $500-$600. Just be sure you are looking at the 26" rifle and not the SRC. Yep...

Re: The Perfect Silhouette Scope- what would you have

Lets see, my perfect scope would be... Front AO that tracks perfectly with the indications. EFR - focuses from 30 feet to infinity. 1/4 MOA adjustments with firm clicks (not mushy) and target turrets Absolutely repeatable adjustments. 80 MOA total range for both elevation and windage. Options for c...

Re: Big Changes

This has been in the works for a while. No surprise as silhouette is the last competition to use score books. I'm curious what the reporting cost will be. That and I wonder how many match directors will say no thank you. That is potentially A LOT of data entry for people who are already busy. No ex...

Woo hoo!

Been looking forward to this match since last year's match ended. If you're an air rifle shooter you should be at this match!

Garin, expect to see my registration and payment in the next day or two.
It's gonna be a blast!

Re: mueller scopes

I had that exact scope on a 40X benchrest rifle for a time. It wasn't a great scope, but it was a great value. I actually think I still have it in a drawer somewhere. I tested the scope shooting the same POA each shot adjusting the turrets to have POI move in a box. It performed successfully the one...

Re: Deformed pellets

Nice trick. Does it have to be a stereo plug or can it be monaural? (j/k) =)) =)) I tried it and it's a lot of work. I'd rather just shoot the heavier Baracuda. I just noticed the weight of your Diabolos. I bet that was a bit of work. lol I was doing this with the 7.33 grains and they straightened ...

Re: Deformed pellets

Get you a 1/4" headphone adapter and insert the tip into the skirt of the pellet to flare it back to being uniform. You'll eventually get the feel (I would twist the adapter and pellet slightly) and be able to do it quickly. The pellets will likely oversize slightly so your gun may or may not like i...

Re: What is your favorite metal polish to polish cases with?

I throw mine in a tumbler with crushed walnut from a lizard terrarium bag and forget about it for a couple or three days. It's a little dusty, but wiping off dust and blowing out the inside is a lot easier than what it sounds like you're going through.

Re: Anyone tried the Geissele Super 700 trigger yet?

Rough start for a new product.

If I were to start a new build or replace my current trigger, it would take a hurricane to blow me from buying a Bix N' Andy. I like my Jackson and all, but it was more than a hassle getting it to be acceptable.

Re: Lapua should be ashame

Lapua is the only manufacturer I've ever seen cater to any rimfire sport, much less send a breathing human to some of the events. Adam deserves more credit than the zero you've given him.

I will pick up that Stiller from you and do a 20 year trigger comparison test for you. No charge and I will supply the ammo.
That's awfully selfless of you. Image
