Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

... come on don't we know better that anything sub 1 MOA doesn't have to look like a Chris Kyle sniper rifle. Yeah, but a lot of people out there want it to look like a sniper rifle. It plays into their "I'm a baddass special-forces operator" fantasies. If that's what is selling that's what they're...

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

If I had a single rifle to do traditional silhouette and benchrest silhouette, being able to swap triggers to a 1.5oz from the 2lb pull would be super handy. :p

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

I think Dustin Flint was trying to organize a match along those lines. I don't know how far he got though.

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

I should have looked at the actual results bulletin myself before I made my remarks. I was going by my faulty memory which gets worse with age. My apologies if I offended anyone. If someone gets their feelings hurt from discussing guns on the internet, they should just not be on the internet. No ne...

He looks like such a nice man, too.
Careful with him. That's part of the façade.

Re: Henry Rifles, 24" 357....

Emmett I like the Uberti's but don't see a lot of them on the line. I'm guessing they have heavy triggers?!? I think my dad's Uberti 357 trigger from the factory was around a 7.5lb break feeling like dragging over gravel road. They can be nice if you put the time in though. They're pretty enough to...

Re: Henry Rifles, 24" 357....

I called them when I spent some time with my Henry 24" 22lr specifically asking for 357 and 30-30 versions. I'd sell my Rossi and Winchester and shoot Henry across all three classes if they did that.

Suggestions sent in!

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

The winner of HR at the nationals at Ridgway was shooting a Ruger 77/22. Just saying... And Steve Prefontaine won races in homemade shoes, but that's not really the point either lol. Of course it's the Indian and not the arrow, but that doesn't disqualify discussion of arrows. What else would we ta...

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

As far as a good basis for a silhouette rifle I really think there are many good ways to start, many much cheaper than this rifle. I do agree that the 700 platform has the advantage of many good triggers. Oh for sure there are many cheaper options. In fact, if I could shoot a single stage trigger a...

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

The rifle appears to be a really nice effort but aimed (yes I know I am not punny) in a different direction than Silhouette. In a different stock with a different profile on the barrel and it might be an off the shelf contender. I would think that discounting the rifle because you don't like the ma...

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

I got to get me one of them! Yeah I don’t like the magazine either, nothing is more fake than a prosthetic magazine. But I imagine I can work around it, or convert it really easily to single shot. This rifle looks like it would be awesome for 200 yard benchrest silhouette .! Well they had to create ...

Re: Bergara B-14R 22LR

That magazine made me throw up a little bit in my mouth. Dustin Absolutely same for me, but that's why I mentioned the caveat of "less cumbersome magazine". Personally I hate any magazine and vehemently prefer a single shot if we're being honest. I mean obviously silhouette isn't the intended crowd...

Bergara B-14R 22LR

Bergara is releasing a new bolt action 22lr in mid to late November (with rumor that the barreled action will be available in January). The action will fit in Remington 700 stocks and also be compatible with Remington 700 triggers. If they do end up selling the barreled action and a less cumbersome ...
