Re: New Silhouette Scope

I spoke with Athlon a few weeks back trying to urge them into producing a scope that would be suitable for silhouette. I think they would do well and be affordable, but there wasn't much interest in it. I can't really blame them though. I don't think the market supports it otherwise Leupold would ha...

Is Norma Match 22 the same ammo as RWS Target rifle or is it more like RWS 100?

Thank you in advance!
Definitely more along the lines of RWS Target. Norma Match sells 70% less than RWS 100. There's no way they're comparable in quality control and manufacturing process.

Wasted too much time when I started Lever Action trying to get a 375 to work on 200 meter rams. Get a Win 30-30 for about $600 and save yourself the aggravation.

Sightron Silhouette 6-24x42 63037

SIghtron Silhouette 6-24x42 63037 for sale. 7/16MOA dot reticle, 1/4 click values. Scope is 18oz. Sunshade is 2oz. Just received back from Sightron with a clean bill of health. There are some markings on the scope; I've done my best to show them though most are faint. The most noticeable ones are co...

Re: Isn’t it a great feeling when......

Isn’t it a great feeling when rummaging though your garage and find a case of SK Standard + ammo you forgot you had? Yep, I found a case of ammo that I somehow lost for a couple of years. One more case and I am done buying SK ammo for a little while. \m/ How about you come leave a case of ammo at m...

Re: .22LR Standard or Highspeed?

It has been a while since I purchased it, but there is, or was, a manufacturer that made a special twist 10/22 barrel specifically for use with this ammo. It has an 11.25" twist. The main purpose of the barrel, per the maker, was to enable safe use of the 60 grain while using a suppressor. It does ...

Re: .22LR Standard or Highspeed?

I shoot Aguila Super Extra Standard Velocity 1130FPS exclusively in my Henry. Stupid accurate and about the cheapest ammo I can find. I've never rang a ram or a pig. I take down the majority of pistol cartridge rams, but have rang more than several as well.

Re: Which 30-30 for Lever Action Rifle Silhouette

DooDaddy. I've noticed that too. The Canadians always sell for about $600 while the exact same commemorative with Buffalo Bill or some other name sells for $850?!? I figure it's related to what my dad said when I suggested he buy one. "I aint shooting something with a maple leaf on the side" or at ...

I have a new one that was purchased for a 1712 a few years ago and it still did not make weight. I put the scope back in the box and sold the rifle. $600. I have new BKL mounts also.
Check your PMs.

And you can still find NIB ones for less than $700.
There are steals out there to be had. I paid less than $600 shipped for my NIB Canadian. I've noticed those are usually the lowest price commemorative models.

Re: WTB Leupold FX-3 25X 1/2MOA Dot 66850

Doodaddy, You have good vision. I think you would also be happy with a 25X with a 3/8 MOA Dot. It is not that much different. I do, but it's not about needing the bigger dot to see it; I just don't like the smaller dot as much. The Sightron dot I've used for years is halfway between a 3/8 & 1/2 dot...
