Weatherby CFP

Hi all, A little while back I came across a Weatherby CFP at a local gun shop that had a price tag on it that just screamed take me home. It is chambered in .223. I haven't seen this handgun mentioned too much on the silhouette forums or Facebook pages and was wondering if there is a reason why? It ...

Re: Australian Team would like to say Thank You

Hey Russ4570,

Out of interest and national pride how did the Aussie team end up on the score board?

IZH 46M Question

I have a IZH 46M that I use at my local club for silhouette. After setting it up a couple of years ago I have never had to adjust the windage on it and the elevation settings have always been pretty much spot on. I shot a match with it last weekend and it was shooting far left. I adjusted the rear s...

Re: 7/08 Remington

Thank you for the reply frankmako. I had a bit of a look around the web for mp5744 and found a powder called A-5744 by a company called Accurate Powders. Is this the same powder? Going by the burn rate table on the Accurate Powders website if it is, it sits fairly close to one of the Australian powd...

7/08 Remington

I have picked up a XP100 in 7/08 Rem that came with some cast projectiles. Majority of them are 175gn in weight and most load books only show data for jacketed projectiles. Does anyone have a starting load to try with this weight? Was after something preferably using IMR 4227 or IMR 4198 as these po...

Re: First match

Depending on which way you look at it I am either lucky or unlucky that there isn't a 500m range close by. If there was I would no doubt be looking for a suitable HP rifle as well as a BPCR one as well.

Re: First match

Hey Westy, well aware of the "sickness" already. I've spent a far bit of money and time on the handgun side of the game. But I still reckon that it is a good disease to have. I shot down at the SSAA Gladstone range today. It is about 22km west'ish of Calliope.

First match

I shot my first CLAS match today and ended up with a 14. Not too bad for me considering I only have sight settings for chickens and pigs. So was trying the old hold over technique for turkeys and rams. Also rang 3 or 4 rams. I figure that this is more to do with the fact that the range I shot at is ...

Re: Should I Shoot the Ol' Model 94

There has been rumors of lever guns being next on the chopping block. Is this true? A local importer released a video of a lever-action, 7 shot magazine, shotgun being cycled extremely fast ( rumored to be sped up) as an advertisement hoping to up sales of the piece of crap. This was jumped on by t...

Re: Mild steel loads

As you are in Australia, try using 17gr of AR2207 behind a 170gr cast lead bullet. It shoots well out of my two '94's, has mild recoil and knocks the rams down. My own targets are all mild steel and I shoot at them with this load without damaging them. A load of 10gr of Trail-boss behind 150gr Hawk...

Re: Weaver T25?

Thank you for the replies. There is one for sale down here that I have been procrastinating about for a little while now. But at this stage I have decided to send my Leupold in to get a set of target turrets installed instead. That said, I will still keep an eye on the Weaver just in case it is stil...

Weaver T25?

I am trying to find product specs on the old Weaver T25 steel scopes made in El Paso. I'm chasing the length and weight of the scope as well as dot size and "click" value. Also, any opinions on this model scope would be greatly appreciated. If I am able to get my hands on one I would be using it on ...
