Walther kkj-t new to me

20190208_105847.jpg Walther kkj-t new to me. Needs a little work. The barrel channel needs to be widened on one side as it is against the barrel. New to me sightron 6-24x42 f/c with dot. I do not know if I will like that. It is a little finer than I thought it would be but a lot of you seem to like...

Back to asking questions. As it seems that I will not be able to get the votex I was looking for my options close off a bit. I can not seem to find any dots here in Canada by any manufacturer within the spec range I am looking for. Either the magnification is to low, or the objective is to big. Has ...

Just gotta talk to someone

So, pleased with myself. I have been shooting more and more steel (SB) just getting a good feel for it and decided to start tracking my progress and setting goals. So I said that I would shoot 40 rounds at a animal until I had enough hits in one session to go to the next class(for me that was a b to...

Re: Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x

After trying to decide on a scope from this forum, this vortex seemed the better choice than the Muller I was thinking of. However, Went to my dealer (here in canada). He told me he could not get it. I emailed vortex to ask if they could get it in. They proceeded to tell me it has been discontinued....

mueller scopes

There has not been any new news on these scopes in a couple years looking through the site. There were a couple good posts, but most were not happy with the reliability by the sounds of things. Has anything changed for the better? Anyone running these consistently with good results? Anyone using the...

Re: learning day

Jerry G. It would be great if I could do an indoor shoot, but we can not do steel indoors and cutting all that out of wood would be laborious. But possible I suppose. Winter or summer here does not seem to matter. I hold an interclub shoot during the winter for sporting rifle and get the same 20 guy...

learning day

Well, this is just a follow up to let you know how things progressed for me. I held an informational shoot last weekend to try and get people out to see what silhouette was all about. 6 out of the 12 people who expressed interest showed up. This from the 5000 people the notice hopefully reached if e...

I have learned.....

.....From reading here that using paper on the back of a swinging target when you do not have a berm behind is great. Although I have only played around with it over the last couple years, using that backing paper this year definitely helps .....again that it is hard to get people excited here. I ha...

Re: Cheap Portable Target Stand: Spreading the Disease!

Frig. Is it really that simple? I was trying to come up with a stand and ask questions to see what others have done. That seems too simple. But I will give it a try. Be great for practice. As we have a multipurpose range, so only one backstop, and I could never leave stands out as they would just ge...

Re: firing line prep

Ken, I was referring to sporting rifle, which is what I presume you may call light rifle. Prone or 3P. 30 seconds between banks. Huh. I woulda guessed longer, but I guess if you are all sighted in, then there is no point in delaying. Speaking of sighting in. Does everyone sight in at each range or d...

firing line prep

Ok, Does someone have a video, or perhaps can make one, or give more detailed information about preparation time. I have read the rules regarding time limits, but can not seem to see, maybe I am just overlooking them, about prep time before shooting. I think I know in air gun that shooters can put t...

Re: mil dot scopes with rimfire

thanks for the help. I like sqhunter of the hold points. I guess my main reason for thinking mil dot was partly due to my idea of shooting at one distance for one shot, another for the second and so on. I was only thinking this way as part of a fun shoot as a lot of people around me do not seem to l...

mil dot scopes with rimfire

Ok. So, I have been playing on and off the last couple years with a set of swingers that I bought. I am hoping to play a bit more serious this summer and perhaps get some action going on at my club. I had the brainstorm a bit ago of wondering if my mildot scope could work at the distances without ha...
