Re: WTB air rifle

There's a sweet blue-laminate Anschutz 2002 SSP on Gun Broker right now. The asking price is a little high but if that's your dream rifle then it would be something to consider. Search for item # 853625377.

Re: Forum registration issue

Yup, the registration process for this site has been really sporadic for a long time now. I have heard that the web browser you use can be one of the issues, but I can't say for sure. You might try again using a different browser to see if it goes through or not. Sorry, that's the best I've got. Goo...

Re: Raising comb, hunter class question

A different perspective on your issue... Can you lower the scope with shorter rings? Can you pick up your head a little bit? I prefer a more upright head position (better for balance) and have to give up a firm cheek pressure because of the rules limitations. If I positioned my head with a firm chee...

Re: Whats The CZ452 of air rifles

... So I don't really want to spend a mint on one since it will just be for fun... wondering what that sweet midrange riffle is in air rifle that could shoot with the big boys and take someone into AAA if they where good enough... Like it to be fairly low maintenance and a springer as the Safe is g...

Re: Heart of Texas Silhouette Club closes

Sad news for the HOTSA folks and HP shooters in that part of the state. Just yesterday I helped our guys unload some high-power animals which were picked up from Greenwood Gun Club (Brazoria, TX.). About 20+ rams, 20+ turkeys, and 5 or 6 pigs. With HOTSA closing down this may bump the idea of puttin...

Re: 2020 Louisiana Silhouette Championship - May 2-3, 2020

A quick clarification please...

If you pay $100 entry fees then there is no additional fee for the air rifle portion?

I'm filling out the form now so I want to make sure I cut the check in the proper amount.

Who has state matches?

So my wife asked what she thought might be a silly question at dinner tonight... "How may states have a state match?" I got to thinking and wasn't really sure. So, what states have state matches? Smallbore seems to be the most prevalent but I can see where a state might have a lever-action or high-p...

PolitiFact already called out that article you quoted (not the ABC News part) as totally bogus...

Re: American Silhouette Shooters in China

... Never thought ABC would quote a so called "anti-vaccinator". I did not say ABC News was anti-vax at all, I said the person and "institute" that you quoted in your third paragraph were known anti-vaxxers. Also, the ABC News article which you referenced does not quote or even mention Dr. James Ly...

Re: American Silhouette Shooters in China

Sorry Bobby, but Dr. James Lyons-Weiler and the "Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge" are known whack-a-doodles that put out junk-science to further an anti-vaccine agenda.

From the rulebook...

It seems you have to contact NRA-HQ to ask for a copy.

Re: Annual Silhouette Classification FEE

I could be wrong but I believe you need to pay the fee so your scores get recorded, and so you can get a classification card which you will need to shoot in any classification other than "unclassified" at Nationals (or any other major match).

Again, I could be wrong but that's my reading of it.
