Re: $20,000 Worth of Prizes added at Raton

What kind of personal donation would it take to turn a small monthly match into a new Southern Nationals? I kind of doubt $20,000 would do it. I can't say for sure but at the CBC match this past April they probably gave out $10,000 worth of door prizes (not counting the awards). The door prizes at ...

Anschutz 11mm or 3/8 dovetail?
Pete offers both.

I've got the D3 rings on both my Anschutz 1710 and my Air Arms HFT 500 Open air rifle. They're good stuff!

Re: NRA stuff from National Championship

I got an email from a Harold Frey with the SB and HP Nationals results, scores, equipment survey, etc. If I remember right there was a sign-up sheet at the registration table in order to receive the results. Would you like me to forward them to you?

Re: Savage Mark II - which base?

My guess is for a much better heads-up position. I personally have 1.5" height rings on three out of four rifles because it allows for the rifle to sit lower in my shoulder and hands while keeping my head upright, something very important in off-hand shooting. Look at any Olympic-style rifle shooter...

Re: Savage Mark II - which base?

Oh, I see now... The receiver doesn't even have a dovetail cut into it! (How goofy is that?!?) My apologies for not understanding the situation. Unless you get a gunsmith or machinist to cut dovetails into the receiver (which is possible) then you've got to use the bases (or get a one-piece base fro...

Re: Savage Mark II - which base?

Why not skip the extra parts and just bolt the rings directly to the receiver? One less thing to potentially cause an issue. I recently put Pete's D3 rings on my Anschutz 1710 and now my Air Arms HFT 500 air rifle. They're really nice rings with the options for 3/8" or 11mm dovetail and a varied sel...

Re: 1% of the one percenters

Used right-hand 64MS's seem to be selling in the $500 to $800 range. Add a little bump for it being left-handed and another little bump for it being unfired and that still leaves you a bit short of the price you paid. If it has incredible Meister-grade wood then you might be in the ballpark, but I d...

Re: 2019 Louisiana Indoor Air Rifle Silhouette Regional Match

Only six more months before the next Coop Shoot!

:D

(It only comes to mind because I'm pretty sure I'm all done with big matches for the year, so the Coop Shoot will be the next one on the list.)

Re: Would anyone else like to see the weight limit change?

I'm going to say no, do not change the weight restrictions for Hunter rifle. If you use a heavier scope (either by choice or because of lack of choices) then you just shave off a little weight on the stock or the barrel or both. I would love to have a single rifle that allows for any ergonomic choic...

Re: Any rule changes ?

If Ridgway is not interested in hosting it the perhaps the Nationals should be moved to another permanent location? Who said they weren't interested in hosting Nationals?!? I didn't get to go to the Nationals at Raton last year but I'll definitely be going next year. I've heard lots of stories abou...
