Re: NRA In-a-Row Pins Are Back

The only difference between the two pins is the letters NRA on their pins and directions they face. Roy's are cheaper.

Cowboy in North Ga.

Hey folks, It's getting that time of year to kick off matches. I am happy to announce the new dates for CLA at Chatuge Rifle Club. We will be starting in April and running through September on the second weekend of the month. The start time has been moved back one hour. Practice will start at 1000 w...

Re: Got paint?

Check out the ace hardware brand of paint if you have one in your area. It goes on sale for about 1.79 in my area and is good paint that dries fast. If no ace go to the source. Rusto sent our group 3 boxes several years ago for our state match. Tell them who you are and what you want it for. All the...

Re: CPT Loads for 308 Marlin Express

Just looked up 2017 survey and did not see 308mx listed. The reason it is not legal is it is not a flat point nor is it a round point. The 308mx has a plastic pointed tip that is not part of the original casting or swaging .The tip is a removeable plastic insert . I thing it is time to stop reinvent...

Re: Herny vs Marlin 39

I would have to agree it's the shooter not the shooting iron. My wife and I have 4 henrys, 2 in 22 and 2 in 357. She shoots a h001 carbine with a youth stock which she has named baby henry. It is so short we have to use a wood dowel rod to put it in a rack. With this rifle she won aa class at the gr...

Re: Sights for a Henry .357 big boy

I use Berry 125 gr with 5.0 titegroup. Don't know about swapping primers. My loads stay around 1200 fps. I use this load in cla up to turkeys then use 180 Serria with 13.1 grs n110 but am changing to h110 due to cost. Watch for leading in barrel with cast. Your bullets may have no problem but I don'...

Re: Sights for a Henry .357 big boy

I use the second tallest. I think it was .454 could be .494. If it goes on a barrel with dovetail . Watch out on loads to fast and you could bottom out on chickens. That's a problem I had. Plus if you use a 1 inch rear app your trigger may not clear. This is the same set up my wife uses.

Re: Considering a 32-20 caliber

Hornady 125 gr xtp 6.5 grains n320 wspm primer. Used as cla load. PC load is berry 125 fp 5.0 titegroup wspm primer starline brass. Both loads are spot on. Thinking about using berry 158 to replace Hornady. Works through turkeys on cla.

Re: Considering a 32-20 caliber

Stay with the 357. Have 2 by Henry. Wife shot a long run record in NH. Shot a 8 shot 1 inch group at 50 yards with iron sights. Both rifles are big boy steels. More choice of bullets and brass.

Behind the Berm

What's the deal. A link is put up that doesn't work. Twenty pages of access requests no reply. Does it take a super secret decoder ring?

Kim and I had a great time. Was a good match with great weather except Friday which didn't bother Kim to much it would seem. She is still fling high. Kim not holding it over my head as long as medals are polished, rifles cleaned and ammo reloaded. Look forward to next year.

Re: Cowboy Legal Single shot?

The rules list only 3 rifles that is legal. Lever, pump or semiautomatic that is tube fed.
That would be a great rifle for 22bpcr match.
