Re: Bad News

Since .22BPCRA will hold their Nationals only at Raton, that match plus a BP Regional match would be the ticket for Western shooters. Also plenty of reason for me to make my annual trek to Raton, 2000 miles west from Pa. This will be #26 for me.

Re: Lapua Test Center video...

There is a very neat 4 part video on YouTube showing ammo testing on an Anschutz rifle. They test a LOT of ammo in that rifle before they found a couple of lots that the rifle liked.

Re: Opinions please .22 bpcr sights and scopes and bases

For those interested in scopes for .22BPCR, there are other options; Unertl Small Game Scopes (in 4x and 6x) and Lyman Jr Target Spot scopes (available in 6-10x). There also other vintage scopes that are legal; Winchester A5, Lyman 5A,Lyman 438 Field scope (4x) as well as some Fecker scopes. Some of...

Re: Suggestion for my first .22 BPCR

The choices of rifle, both production or custom built, can be almost baffling for someone just starting out. I’ve competed for over 20 years and have a large safe fulll of BPCR .22 rifles. If you want to get going with a match-winning rifle, go with the CPA. Next step will be buying a bunch of diffe...

Re: What tripods are members using for spotting scopes?

Several years ago I bought a Wally World camera tripod to use with my Kowa 821. While at a match a gust of wind blew it over. Needless to say that bouncing it off the concrete didn't do it any good. I sent it back to Kowa for repairs. The Kowa customer service was awesome, they turned it around very...

Re: New SK Flatnose

A friend who is a very serious bench-rest shooter (travels all around the country shooting in the money matches) told me several months ago that Lapua was getting very serious about competing with Eley. I understand that Eley ammo has ruled the rimfire bench-rest scene for a long time and Lapua want...

Re: CCI Standard Velocity - any comments?

Merlin, too bad so much of the ammo you pictured is obsolete. That seems like trend these days, find ammo your gun likes and the manufacturers stop making it.
