Re: 2020 Coop Shoot

For those who need to shoot a air rifle match, we are hosting our last NRA air rifle match of 2019 this Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Rankin County, MS. We are 3 hours east of the coop shoot and 3 hours northeast of Baton Rouge, LA. Start times may be delayed a few hours due to cold temperatures. We...

Re: Cheap(er) spotting scopes

Do not forget to give us your opinion of it, once you put it through the paces. That was a good price to the door.

Re: NRA casification cards

Julie received a classification card last week for indoor open air rifle. The only time she shot indoor open air rifle was on February 13, 2016. That is close to four years from the date of the match until she received the card. How did they know she shot that match when the present card system just...

Re: Cheap(er) spotting scopes

Merlin, you have made me curious about the 100 mm Celestron. It would be beneficial to make a side by side comparison on the firing line with the spotting scopes in common use for silhouette to see which one might have a better image while experiencing changes in light and mirage. Also since safety ...

Re: Cheap(er) spotting scopes

What are you going to do with the "cheap" spotting scope?
Spot smallbore and centerfire silhouette matches or just see holes in paper on general range days?
That would help people answer your question.

Re: UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR NRA SILHOUETTE CHAMPIONSHIPS

No purposeful diversion from the subject being discussed was intended. It is all related in my way of thinking. The top person in any organization if corrupt only hires honest people by chance because they have a skewed sense of what is right and wrong. In the southeastern United States the local sa...

Re: UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR NRA SILHOUETTE CHAMPIONSHIPS

I do not know a single person who voted for la Pierre to spend a half million U.S. dollars in one year on tailored business suits or hire democrat gun violence activists to work for the NRA. Voting by NRA individual members means nothing. la Pierre has the NRA set up so that he makes all the decisio...

Re: UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR NRA SILHOUETTE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The comparison to the Indy 500 and the Kentucky Derby are interesting but let us truly compare them. The Indy 500 and Indianapolis Speedway were wholly owned by the Hulman Family with their grandson Tony George making all the decisions for the last few decades. The Hulman Family also owned a baking ...

Re: UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR NRA SILHOUETTE CHAMPIONSHIPS

In Mexico the National Champion picks the location for the next year's national championship. That seems like a good method. It definitely increases the prestige and importance of winning their national championships. Too bad the NRA does not have a mechanism in place where NRA members could actuall...

Re: Article on the NRA

The Silhouette shooters who shoot and spot the sport a lot know that there is no other hobby out there like it. It is the most challenging and complex thing I have ever tried. Many people have sacrificed their time and money to see silhouette become a successful sport. If our sanctioning body loved ...

Re: Article on the NRA

I am president of one rifle club and a member/long time match director at another range. Neither clubs have any kind of NRA insurance that I am aware of? I do see on the NRA green form(Form 10-SIL-F-13r1) under the title: "IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING LIABILITY WHILE CONDUCTING NRA TOURNAMENTS OR OTHE...

Re: Article on the NRA

Loony tunes to hire a legal firm that supports Hillary Clinton and pay them tens of millions of dollars. Loony tunes to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in one year on tailored business suits. If the millions donated by the membership had not been squandered in such crazy ways, we would not ha...
