Re: Delusional in Mississippi

The part I like about one of their ranges is the lighted free span open air roof with the high berm right up against one end of the roof line. Lights good enough to shoot at night and conduct classes. The berm is close enough that paper target stands are protected under the roof line making it an al...

Delusional in Mississippi

Range for sale in Mississippi in the middle of the most anti-2A county in our state. Owned by a physician's wife. Many of the ranges face directly into the sun. Property is divided by a major river. High crime rate for a rural area. The video is nice. Thought about approaching them about silhouette ...

Re: 1984 "West Germany" marked Anschutz 64

Could you email the model number of the Weaver scope? There were two different versions of the Weaver T24 with the 1/8 MOA Dot.

Re: Wanted Single Shot Smallbore Anschutz

Dustin, thanks for the offer. The rifle I bought from Shook started as a 1413 but somehow it had a brand new 5022 trigger on it. My goal is to find the newest action that I can afford that will have better parts availability in the future. You better hang on to those firing pins. The little Flints m...

Re: Wanted Single Shot Smallbore Anschutz

That 1807 for sale is actually one of the "magical" 1600X series rifles. The transitional rifle that lead into the modern 1800 series. I think it would be hard to source parts for that rifle if I ever had to. Also it might be sacrilege to turn what many think is a rare classic into a common silhouet...

Re: Any rule changes ?

Airports, airplanes and rental cars wear me out more than driving across country.
Something about not being able to move around enough makes me stiff.
Especially if seated between two of these.

Re: Anschutz 2025 air rifle

The person who buys that rifle will need to send it off to AZ for the cocking arm modification if it has not already been done. The 2025 receiver could not take the stress of those velocities without the modification and the result was the cocking arm would not stay locked down upon firing. Might as...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the weight limit change?

For the people who want quick, easy ergonomic adjustments, open and target rifle silhouette matches are offered. Since we are now discussing a wish list, I would like to be able to use a composite stock in Smallbore Hunter rifle that is identical to the factory stock on a Air Arms TX200 sporter. Tha...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the weight limit change?

I can also see Snake's point in keeping Hunter weight the same. A weight increase would cause major changes to the way rifles would be built in the future and there would be no going back. Hunter rifle seems to be the only weight that people seem to want increased. There are many other Silhouette Ri...

Re: Would anyone else like to see the weight limit change?

I think a rule change that would make it easier for new people to buy current production 30 mm scopes and use some of the custom actions should at least be discussed. Also, if the person is tall like 6 foot 3 inches or more it is difficult for them to use a stock that fits them and still make weight.

Re: Any rule changes ?

Ridgway has huge participation at their approved levergun matches. So many shooters that they have target setters for their monthly matches. Look at the Ridgway facebook page for the actual numbers.

Re: Any rule changes ?

The funny thing for us is Ridgway is 1,091 miles away and Raton is 1,083 miles away. Not much difference in the drive. Two days of driving for old people with a overnight stop. Our main personal requests for a National match is a maximum day time temperature of less than 80 degrees, low humidity and...

Re: Any rule changes ?

David, we just got back from the 2019 Smallbore Nationals at Ridgway. That area of Pennsylvania is pretty much an epicenter of silhouette with many, many locals being active competitors. Unlike Raton where competitors and match administrators swoop in for the match and swoop out. The Pennsylvania pe...
