Re: 2018 WYOMING state date set

I got me a nice hat to bring home. Bonner did not need all four of them, so I swiped one for my collection while he was busy gabbing. Actually, I will consider it my very late award for winning three Wyoming HP High Overall titles in '04..'06 and '07. :D Thanks to Roger S. and the WSSA for providing...

Oh boy, the time is here! :ymparty: A bunch of us Colorado and Dakota's shooters will be descending on Lander,Wyoming in the next 24 hours. Another Wyoming State SB/HP Championship is about to happen. 8) It has become affectionately known as the Northern Colorado Regional Match due to the 80% influx...

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

"Ask yourself this question. Have I introduced a new shooter to Silhouette in the last 5 years? If you answered no, you are part of the problem. Silhouette is a grassroots sport, and it will only survive if the shooters continue to promote it themselves." For the most part I agree with this statemen...

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

Normal human attrition has accounted for a lot of the numbers loss. After all we started developing this game in the late 60's. The invention of Levergun Silhouette influenced the shift of competitors moving away from HP in recent times. Practically all of the current lever shooters have strong HP b...

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

Very nice chart, thanks for the effort. A good friend provided me with HP Nationals results from way back in the early years of HP silhouette in the USA. The following data is from the Ben Avery range in Phoenix, AZ. That range was built in the early 70's and dedicated in 1974. The very first HP Nat...

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

Agreed, we figured it out, I stand corrected. My apologies to you. I will refrain from pestering you any further. :) As an aside I looked at my only hard copies of past National results bulletins to compare the attendance numbers for HP. The numbers are..... Standard.....Hunter Phoenix 2001.....

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

Jeanne, check your Colorado figures again. We did a known head count of those attending at today's HP match. We come up with six for sure with a possible seventh depending on the local wheat harvest schedule. :D Eleven shooters is incorrect. Unless there are some other CO shooters that do not normal...

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

Thanks much, Jeanne. I know you are busy getting ready for your month long commitment. :ymhug: Off the rails? That is normal for SC, we were just keeping the thread active anxiously awaiting your reply. FOURTY ONE shooters for HP is pathetic. I could host that many for a HP National at CRC wi...

Re: rule when shooting out of order

From the 2016 IHMSA rules: C) An incorrect target knocked down out of sequence. If the incorrect target is to the right of the correct target, the correct target is scored as a miss, as is the target knocked down. The maximum penalty shall be two targets for each single occurrence. http://www.ihmsa....

Re: Update on Nationals Numbers

Hey Jeanne, any chance you could provide the numbers and state for HP also? In return I will bring you a few bags of Sams Club yellow and white tortilla chips and maybe a bag of Frito's, too. :D

Re: rule when shooting out of order

I gave away two pre 1999 score books to new shooters. They never came back. My '99 book 10.7 (b) wording is the same as current 2016. Here in the USA you take all five shots starting over with the left most target. No two target penalty. Period.
