Re: Lost 2020 NRA Classification Fee

They know about it and have a ticket sent to IT to get it fixed... if you can see your scores, you paid.

Maybe a shake down for more money?
Hoping older shooters will pay a few times before they realize there is an issue... LOL

Re: Bad News

Having the country organized into 3 or 4 regions at least initially would make it possible for most shooters to drive to a top level competition in a day or less. It would also encourage local participation in silhouette. As far as having no pre-qualifications for nationals I can't think of another...

Re: Bad News

Very true, very true indeed. Perhaps the NRA will ask Ridgeway to be the permanent home for the various national silhouette nationals? I know it has been stated that Ridgeway is not seeking to be the permanent home for the silhouette nationals but what makes them think that the NRA cares what they ...

1923 Model 92 converted to a model 53...

I need some space in the safe... bought as charity with dignity, have absolutely no use for it... Shoots fine. Started life as a 1892 but somewhere along the line someone converted to a model 53 (barrel and buttstock). Has been reblued and the blueing is thin around the barrel end and middle. Hammer...

Re: new Henry.....

My wife shoots both the small bore and 22 mag version. Only caveat I can offer is pull the cover off and clean every 500 rounds or so. A lot of crud builds up and even though the lever is closed it messes with the head space and accuracy suffers. Other than that I haven't seen one that is not a shoo...

Re: 1892 Winchester / Miroku .357 Mag broken firing pins

https://d1zzd228d7bvdx.cloudfront.net/products/1343800.jpg Is this what your pin looks like? If so then yes, if it's breaking at the radius to the pin body there is a misalignment. Call Winchester, they may make it right. If not I would either buy a new bolt, enlarge the pin hole or pay a gunsmith ...

Re: 1892 Winchester / Miroku .357 Mag broken firing pins

A picture of the broken pins would help but it does sound like miss alignment. I have a 66 like that and have turned the body of the pin down a few thousands so there is no binding.

Re: 1892 Winchester / Miroku .357 Mag broken firing pins

I know the Miruko uses a different set up then a true 92... I'd check with Winchester. If it were a standard set up like a 92 or 94 I'd question the bolt. You don't do alot of dry firing do you? Where is the pin breaking?

Re: Nickel plated brass...

Emmett, I don't know why but my marlin shoots better with .38s than .357s too. Even when I load the cases to capacity. Completely counter to what should happen. :-?? This is a 1866 chambered in 38 special.... We have a Rossi and a Henry in 357 and they shoot the same load. Now there will be this Ub...

Re: Nickel plated brass...

Thank you! I swear I looked there and all the other normal places.... missed it obviously.... 1000 pieces in the pipeline. :) (It's for my 1866 that I put in the back of the safe twice because I couldn't get it to shoot... finally figured it out and it's the best shooting PC gun I have next to my 18...

Nickel plated brass...

Where do you get it new? I can find it by scads once fired.... I want my 38 special cases nickel so sorting from the 357 is easier....

Obviously I want all the same manufacturer and head stamp....

Any ideas?

Re: Winchester 94 jammed on me.

Common problem... mine does it randomly. We've changed everything out including putting solid lifter in as opposed to the stamped and welding up the stop and reprofiling it..... I keep a medium sized screw driver with me when I shoot it at a match. If the round is UNDER the lifter, your cartridge st...
