Added for clarification.

:D

I'm a relatively new silhouette shooter and using a 452 Silhouette. With a just a few tweaks (trigger work, cheek-rest pad, rubber slip-on butt pad) and a good scope set-up I doubt I'll outgrow it for quite a while.

Welcome to the game! :-bd

My favorite is the Lux because I MUCH prefer the Lux stock over the classic stock for shooting offhand with a scope. I like the Varmint for the heavier barrel. In my opinion, the ideal CZ setup would be a Varmint barreled action in a Lux stock (452 rather than 455 if possible). Of course, by the time you go through all the time and expense of putting that together, for a little more $$ you could probably get a used Anschutz 1712 and have the best.

Wow, dustinflint is probably correct about the cost. Do yourself a favor and just buy a used Anschutz 1712. I moved from a CZ 455 American to a 1712. It hurt the wallet at first but now I am happy that I made the leap to a 1712.
