Who is going to be the first?
With the new Anschutz model 54.30 released now I wonder who is going to be the first person to turn the barreled action into a silhouette rifle?
Jerry? Old Ranger? Kevinbear? SteveD?

I saw it, drooled and then came back to reality.
I just bought a 1907 and built it into a rifle and I'm building (slowly, I have the barrel and scope, the stock and action are on order, trigger is out of stock) a High Power Rifle.
Won't be me.

Re: Who is going to be the first?
I actually thought about it when I first saw the new action. I even contacted Steve B at ANA about ordering a custom barreled action. The bottom line is that it's just not worth the price difference. It would be around a thousand dollars more than building on the standard 54 action. I believe he estimated the cost would be around $3400 for the action with custom barrel installed. The improvement in the new action would not be very beneficial to silhouette shooters. However, you would have the newest and coolest rifle on the line.

Why stoop so low? Get Bleiker rifle actions for small bore and HP. http://www.bleiker.ch/

Re: Who is going to be the first?
I am left handed and shoot a left handed stock with a right handed action.
I found this Anschutz stock and had it cut down to NRA Silhouette dimensions and the butt stock hogged out to make weight.
