We will be visiting the grandchildren in Latta, South Carolina at the end of August. The NRA website only lists matches in the western part of the state. Are there any Smallbore or Air Rifle matches we can shoot in the Florence or Latta area?

The Mid Carolina Rifle Club is near Columbia SC - only about 1.5 hours away from Florence.
I'm not certain, but I think they have their match on the 3rd Saturday - but don't quote me.

You could drive the 3 hours to Piedmont Gun Club (near Rutherfordton, NC) on the 1st Saturday - OR -
drive the 3.2 hrs to Asheville Rifle & Pistol (near Asheville, NC) on the 2nd Saturday - OR -
drive the 2.8 hrs to Polk County Gun Club (near Columbus, NC) on the 4th SUNDAY to shoot at one of our SBS matches!

Mid Carolina would probably be the closest match to Florence. However, the August match may or may not be cancelled because it falls on the same day as the Tenn State match. I know several of the regular shooters at Mid Carolina will be going to Tenn. I would get in touch with Mical and see if the match will still be held.

Good input regarding TN State Match being on same day as MCRC August Match.
Also, they cancelled their July match - so they might cancel others as well.
