Looking for opinion
Looking at Sightron SII 6-24 with a dot and a Weaver 24x with a dot. BOTH 1/8 clicks, I don't mind.

Any pluses to one over the other?

Thanks
Chuck

I have found the Weaver AO to be more to my liking. This next observation has not been proven more scientifically, but it seems that 2 of the 4 SII scopes I've owned didn't adjust as positively between animals.

I really dislike the AO on the SII line for Sightron, however the SII Big Sky Silhouette scope is excellent for this game. An excellent AO, 1/4 clicks, and about a 7/16MOA dot reticle. I love both of mine. It was discontinued in 2015 so unless you find a deal on the used SII BS, the Weaver is likely your best option.

1/8 minute clicks suck. You will be on your second revolution when you crank up your ram setting. Don't forget to go back to chicken setting when you finish rams.

Not only what Jerry G said about "losing" your chicken zero by going over 1 revolution for Rams. When conditions change during the day most people want 1/4 MOA clicks to make those quick changes. It is easier to keep up with 4 clicks for a MOA than 8 clicks during a bank of targets.

Consider a Leupold FX-3 25x40 scope for Silhoutte. I have one and it works extreme well for this sport.

Second on the Leupold FX-3. I have a 30x40. LOVE IT! Positive, repeatable, 1/4 moa clicks. Amazing glass, and a couple choices for dot size.

What did you decide on, Chuck? Still pondering?
