Dumb question

My CZ 455 has a short length of pull for me. Was going to add a button plate from a flip flop, but can't get the stock plastic one off! I resorted to prying with a knife, but I gouged the wood. Any thoughts? I'm almost ready to put a grinder to it. Like its glues on.
Thanks
Chuck

A heat gun might work. If you don't have one, borrow your wife's hair dryer. Don't tell her.

The CZ butt plates typically come off with a hear gun.

Thanks guys, hair dryer did the trick! extra 3/4" pull makes a nice difference.

There are two screws also holding on the butte late, make sure those are out too. I shortened the pull for my fiance's rifle, I had to saw through those lol.
