This months shoot will be a standard 40 shot silhouette match.
The range will be available on the 22nd and 23rd for sight in / practice.

Congratulations to Brian Chilson, winner of the May 2015 match at Ridgway with a score of 35. It was a beautiful sunny day, cool in the morning warming to the mid 70s, with light breezes.

We had a total of 20 shooters. Rodney Barton took 2nd Open with a 26, and Larry Kiehl earned 3rd Open with a 25. (Welcome back, Larry!) Brian also won 1st Scope with a score of 32. Complete results are below.

Thank you to everyone who helped set and paint targets, call relays, and clean up. We were also glad to see some interested potential shooters come and observe.

Above all, thank you to those of you who have served our country, and on this Memorial Day we honor your service and remember those who have gone before you.

Sincerely,
Craig Duncan

Wow! 35 is a fantastic score. I suppose it isn't that surprising given it is Brian, but I still marvel at the scores he shoots. There is no doubt who the King of BPCR is. That guy owns this sport.

Congratulations Brian!

Great video!

Good to see so many women on the line and just spotters too.

I gotta ask though, how much maintenance is it to keep those nice little pedestals that the animals stand on, welded and straight? Ive never seen that but I bet they make for nice sight pictures, but a bit of extra work.

Thanks!

Brent,

Ridgway is THE club to shoot Silhouette at in the East.
For those of us who choose to shoot black, it's a regulation 500 meter range with 10 positions. ( and growning )
We usally "dig in" so you don't need to shlep your equipment from position to position.
We always have a pratice day, or two, before the matches.
If you want to shoot farther you can go out to 1000 if you like, just for play of course as theres no Long range paper shoots there - yet.
PM me.

Someday I may get there, but I only have so many road miles in me per year and I tend to spend them headed west. Certainly, east of the Mississippi, Ridgeway is the place to be. Heck, east of the Rockies too.

Ridgeway is 13+hrs from home across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio. That's a tough tough grind...

But one day, maybe that will happen.
