Congratulations to Dave Heeter, winner of the July 2015 BPCR match at Ridgway PA with a score of 31.

Unlike last month, which featured torrential rain, match conditions were partly cloudy with highs in the 80s and light varying winds. Greg Lauver took 2nd Open with a 28, tied with 3rd Open Craig Duncan, with Greg's 4 chickens edging out Craig's 3. John Haagen earned First Scope with a 28, followed by Greg Lauver at 26 and Roger Tremba at 24. Complete results are below.

Just for fun, we've started offering a Most Improved Shooter award. It's won by the greatest difference between a person's match score and their lowest score for the year to date. The prize is a $25 gift certificate to Midway USA. Not surprisingly, Greg Lauver - who got to the range a few days early to practice - took this month's prize. But if you've had a bad day this year, next month's prize could be yours!

We also had a special award. At the June shoot, Roger Tremba shot the head clean off a chicken, leaving the rest of it standing. I retrieved the head and made it into a trophy for Roger, with a plaque reading, "Roger shot my head off."

Thanks to Ridgway Rifle Club for your continued support, and the substantial improvements you've been making to the range. And as always, thanks to the folks who helped with setting and painting targets, cleaning the clubhouse, emptying trash, and pitching in with whatever needed doing.

Sincerely,
Craig Duncan
