After 2 yrs construction our new rifle range to 200 yds opens Saturday. I hope to measure the available widths at 50, 100, 150, 200ys with the idea of a 22BPCR shoot in King George VA. Have NRA BPCR silhouette bank mins and maxes for CPTR and could use a 2/5 multiplier for rough ideas for the 22 sized critters but would like to hear from those who have actually "been there and done that" min max for CPTR. Thanks

Are you asking width (left to right) as the shooter faces the animals or the width (front to back) of the rail? If front-to-back, doesn't really matter as long as the pad/foot for the animal can be set even with the back edge of the rail (shot a match once where the setter put them even with the front edge of the rail, which was about 12" wide, and couldn't figure out why the rams wouldn't go down until I got down there to reset and saw his error). For right-to-left width, an animals width between is about right for all but chickens, which should have 2 or 3 animals width between.

Let us know when you get your match up & running. We need more .22BPCR matches.

Check this web page out, it'll tell you just about everything you need to know to get a 22bpcr match up and running. But beware it is a very fun event, and will likely attract a bunch of shooters, and entire families.

X2 for what Glenn said, we need more .22BPCR matches on the East coast.
