This match will be better attended than the HP Nationals at Raton.
Why? Because it's a better place to shoot as per conditions, better staffed, better awards,a provided meal Saturday(I believe, always has been)runs very smoothly, has proper shoot offs, more affordable entry fee.
They even have a working PA system.
So why has it been decided without competitor input that all Silhouette Nationals be held at Raton?
For those who did not hear that this is a done deal.
There was nothing wrong with an every other year east to west SB&HP Nationals.

One word.... top down POLITICS. Same reason the majority of the smallbore shooters said they wanted to return to Camp Perry (and the NRA SAID THEY WOULD GO BY THE INPUT FROM THE SHOOTERS) only to be told that they signed a 5 year deal with Bristol. The NRA does not care what the shooters want anymore, we need to move to get the CMP to take over Silhouette as they care about the shooters and different disciplines.

Follow the money.......... One trip to Raton and they are there for over a month for all the shoots held there. I am sure they get good deals on motels for a long stay too. I will be taking a 'dirt nap' long before they care about the competitive shooters.

I have always wanted to shoot a HP Silhouette match, but nothing in the NH area. I know I missed this year, but looking at 2017, is there a practice day or time? I'd show up with no zeros, not a big deal, but would like to be able to get a couple shots at all yardage lines.
Thanks
