Bigfoot, good for you. Beware they are addictive. I have been a Remington man my whole life. After I bought my first Tikka Forest I sold two Remington's to buy more Tikka's.

Tommy, I'm shooting mine as box stock guns. The triggers will adjust easily down to 2 pounds with no creep.
I'm getting to the point in my HP shooting career where this is all the gun I need. I won our club HPHR championship last year with my 6.5 X 55 T3 Forest.
The front heavy guns don't work for me anymore. Also the wood stock on the Forest is a great design for off hand shooting.

Al, good to know. Maybe I'll be shopping for a new gun then!

FWIW, both of my sons bought Tikka T3x's (in - uh - 30-06) for deer hunting, and absolutely love them. They're very accurate, very attractive in traditional blue and walnut, and surprisingly smooth. A really great value.

Tommy,

You do know that Europtic is in Montoursville, right? They are on Broad St. now, but they are building a huge new store out by Lowes-WalMart.

Al, is Europtic a chain store like Dicks or Bass pro? I've never heard of them.

Not a chain store. I don't know the owner, but he started out selling high end scopes and rifles online out of his home. He now has a booming business. You should see the store he is building. I'll try and take a picture of it to post.

Al, the last time I can down I stopped at Gander Mountain and they would not sell guns to Texas and Massachusetts. I can understand Massachusetts. I'm planning more trips this year if I can find a good camper trailer. RV show is this weekend in Boston.
