Has anyone had a chance to try out the Geissele 2-stage trigger for Remington 700 rifles yet? They are just now readily available but have supposedly been shown as trade shows and demo days. They are currently available from Brownells.

They sound like they are made for high power silhouette. :)

Sounds good for the custom action smallbore hunter rifle builds also.
I wonder how the weight of this trigger compares to the weight of the Anschutz 5022?
When trying to make the 8 and 1/2 pound weight limit everything counts.

Send me one for the Stiller and I'll tell you. :)

I will pick up that Stiller from you and do a 20 year trigger comparison test for you. No charge and I will supply the ammo.

We probably would not want the Geissele trigger for rifle silhouette competition since it is non adjustable and it goes of at 4.5 lbs
Got this from their Website
The Geissele 2 Stage (G2S) was designed to be a high quality, cost effective alternative to the SSA. It is a 4.5 lb. non-adjustable precision combat two-stage trigger and allows precise and accurate trigger control. The G2S is manufactured from the same tool steel as the SSA. Visually, from the outside of the weapon there is no difference from the SSA and the feel and reliability is the same. The G2S however has a different way of holding the hammer pin in place. There are no laser markings, and the parts are only spot-checked for MP. The G2S Trigger will lighten the trigger pull relative to a standard trigger. This lightened trigger pull will make the firearm easier to discharge.

That's not the trigger that I'm referring to, Tony. The trigger I'm talking about is called the "Super 700" trigger. The G2S trigger that you're referring to is one of their cheaper AR15 triggers. Here's the one that I'm referring to.

Rough start for a new product.

If I were to start a new build or replace my current trigger, it would take a hurricane to blow me from buying a Bix N' Andy. I like my Jackson and all, but it was more than a hassle getting it to be acceptable.

Not a safety issue. They say soft metal can cause more adjustment needed after lots of use. Six weeks for a fix,but OK to use now.

I have a Geissele 2 stage in my scar 17. Love it. It breaks at 2 1/2 pounds and has a great feel to it. I know it is a totally different trigger, but I like the Geissele product. Just sayin.
