In an effort to help out the folks that run the Louisiana Highpower State Championship in Zwolle, LA every year, we are going to paint all the targets on Saturday, March 30 to have them ready for the championship in October. Of course, we are also going to shoot a highpower match or two!. You are invited to join us on Saturday, March 30, 2019 for the "Zwolle Work Day HP Silhouette Match."

The range will be available on Friday, March 29 for shooting/testing/sight-in, etc. On Saturday morning we will shoot a 40 or 60 or 80 (whatever)-shot NRA Approved club match then paint all the targets and put them away Saturday afternoon with time to hit the road early and get back home.

The farm will be available for camping and the house up on the hill will be available for a few folks to crash in. Of course there are lots of cabins in the area for rent. We will probably have a nice fire and something to eat (and likely some beverages) Friday night with a good BS session and some fun. We only need to paint about 120 targets so with everyone pitching in the work will be a piece of cake.

The match will be free - your work will be your entry fee - and you'll get to shoot a match at the Fenway Park of Silhouette ranges!

And the Yankees STILL SUCK!

Fenway Park and the range in Zwolle are both:

1. Old but still kicking;

2. Unimproved - basically the same now as they were 50 years ago;

3. The site of great classic moments in their respective sports;

4. Beautiful.

You are right that they both have lousy parking - you can get stuck in the Zwolle parking lot if it's too wet. But there are no obstructed views in Zwolle (maybe a disappearing bank of pigs every now and then) and the ticket prices are just right (absolutely free for this match).

Also, just like Fenway park, Zwolle is where Yankees come to get beat by the home team!

It's going to be a good time.
