More expensive to feed, but worth it.

.260/6.5mm bullet for CP&T

Post by carl425 »

It's pretty clear that everybody in 260/6.5 is shooting some variation of the 139-142gr bullets at the rams, but what do you shoot at the shorter animals? What velocity?

Most I shoot with use 107 Sierra MK around 2600/2700 fps. I use the same bullets in my 6.5 x 55 with very good results

6.5 bullet for cpt

I was using a Sierra MK 107, but I tried some of their 123's and they are outstanding. My personal thought, is that they are just a tad bit better in the wind than a 107, for what it's worth. I am using them in my .260 and 6.5x55. Jim

If your rifle doesn't like the 107 Sierra, try the 108 Lapua.

We have been using 95 Hornady V-MAX at 2950 fps for the last five years with excellent results. :D
