New Source for Silhouette Stocks
I just acquired a new source for Silhouette stocks, they are an exact copy of the discontinued RTS Robertson/Pharr Composite stocks however these are made of wood either laminated of solid wood. The laminated stocks are heavier than solid wood stocks but they will make weight for hunter class if used on Anschutz 1712 barrel action or the new 5418 actions with the 1712 barrels. As far as standard class they will make weight with no problem on any action/barrel combination. The solid wood will be either Maple or Pine. All stocks are flat tops and completely finished on outside with 10 coats of clear automotive top coat. Solid wood stocks can be stained any color prior to clear coat and Laminated stocks are available in multiple laminated colors prior to clear coat. These stocks will work for both small or big bore rifles.
The cost of the flat tops is $400 for either solid or Laminated. If you want me to inlet and Pillar/bed (any action) the total will be $650.
Once I figure out how to post pictures I'll get them loaded.

You can get more weight knocked off by drilling out the buttstock........

Doodaddy and Longbow
The weight of a laminated flat top is 3 lbs. as Longbow mention, by drilling out 6" deep all around the inside of the buttstock and milling out the barrel channel, after completing the inletting, and installing the aluminum pillars the stock weigh 2 lbs. and with a no.4 taper, 25" long barrel, and a Predator single shot action bedded, the gun in the picture weighted 7 lbs. 11 ounces which left 1 lbs. 5 ounces for scope and rings, enough to qualify for High Power Hunter Class.
The regular wood flat top stocks weigh 2 lbs. so no problem making weight with them.
