Fiber Optic Inserts

Post by cslcAl »

Cowboy shooters, I have fiber optic inserts for sale. They are made to insert in a Lyman 17A globe sight. I have them drilled so I can insert .019 fiber optic wire. I can open the hole to use .029 wire also. Right now I only have green wire which most shooters prefer, but I can get other colors if you want.
One advantage to my design is you can use the other stock Lyman inserts and your zero will not change. If you are interested order by email alf2520@verizon.net. The price is $20.00 per insert, plus $5.00 for shipping. The shipping fee is per order so if you order more than one insert it's just $5.00. Group buys would save you money. The order will ship when I receive the funds. Al Foust

Mark, the metal bead is .060. The hole is centered in the bead and I have them drill to install a .019 fiber wire. I can open them up to install larger size wire, such as .029.
Most everyone has wanted the smaller wire, but that size is difficult to drill. It's one of those don't try this at home things. I have solved this problem.

Well hunting season and Christmas are over and I guess folks are focused on shooting again. Orders for inserts are picking up. I am going to Phoenix for the AZ state match, and if anyone want some I can bring them there and save you the shipping. Just send me an email and let me know you will be there.
I am running short on the initial supply I had made, so let me know soon. If I run out I'll have to start a waiting list till I get more in stock.

Wow, the demand for these inserts has exceeded my expectations. I am now out of stock except for about 30 I am taking with me to Phoenix next week. I have another 100 pieces on order from my vendor, but I don't expect them to be here before I leave for Arizona.
I may be gone for about three weeks, but if you want to order some I will be reachable by email. I should be able to ship when I get home.
Also due to many requests I have ordered different colors of wire. I will have Red, Yellow, Orange, and of course Green.
Thanks for all the positive reviews from existing customers.

Can you make this with a smaller bead? Perhaps .040" ? Or .045" ? That would work better for cowboy silhouette. Thanks!

Shooters,

I'm back from my trip, and I am restocked with inserts and colors. Red, yellow ,orange, and of course green. I took a bunch to Phoenix and sold out while there.
Now's the time to get yours and be ready for Nationals.
