Anyone use these folks for reticle replacement?

All the dope on risers, rings, scopes and optics.

Anyone use these folks for reticle replacement?

Post by atomicbrh »

Has anyone used Larry at LK Scope Repair(lkscoperepair.com) for reticle replacement or scope repair? I found their information by accident on ebay. From their website it appears they are the rare company that repairs the less expensive scopes but no information on reticle replacement or price list for services. TK Lee is in poor health and cannot continue working per his website. I can see where Ackerman might become overloaded.
Edit: I just saw where they are trying to reduce their turnaround time to less than 6 months. Ugh.

I always found BILL to be the best , and worth the wait .
TK LEE is usually good , however sometimes the reticle is cocked to a side ...

I had sent a straight power scope to Leupold that had been boosted to have a reticle change. They would not do the work because it had been altered. I called Cheryl at Ackerman's, she is Bill's daughter. I sent the scope to her and she installed the dot I wanted, and did a top notch job. They are more expensive than Leupold, but they are worth it if you have something special you want.
Leupold now is very limited in what they will provide as far as dot sizes.
