ANSCHUTZ 1710 mounting problem help needed

Post by warbird2006 »

I purchased new Anschutz 1710 with 54 action for Silhouette shooting.
It has 11mm dove tail.

Then I got EDGE SILHOUETTE rings from morraccuracy.com

All the same features as the standard edge rings except with the maximum allowable height for silhouette competition, available in straight only, for 11mm rail.

EDGE RING STRAIGHT EXTRA TALL FOR 11MM RAIL -- E1-SET-11MM
THE EDGE SILHOUETTE

I guess what I missed is that 11mm dove tail on action 54 is different from 11mm rail

Any Ideas how I can fix my problem?

Thanks

So... what's your question?

I'm guessing the rings don't fit the rail? Are the rings too big or too small? Additional pictures may help.

Well, just mounted them and they are SOLID to my surprise. I had to actually slide the rings on. Morr Accuracy has great products.

I hope you know that the rifle in your last picture is not a 54 action Anschutz.

My reply deleted because I thought the first photo showed the rifle in question.

atomicbrh wrote:Technically he has a 54 action but it is a 54 Sporter action not the 54 "Olympic" action thus the 1700 series designation. Think about it. There are some 64 Sporter...
In his post 2 posts before my last one is an obvious 64 action, the one where he actually mounted the scope. I hope he wasn't led to believe that it was a 54 action and payed 54 price for a 64.

I did not look at the 2nd and 3rd pictures long enough after seeing the beautiful 54 series 1700 in the first photo to determine OP has a 64. Never expected a photo of a rifle that was not the real subject of conversation. Text even states 1710 in first post????
