Leupold 25x40

Post by Welldone »

I looking for a Silhouette scope with 1/2 moa dot. Isn’t there somebody on this sight that sells them? I’d like to get in contact with him and buy one. Anybody know how to reach him?

Hey David, Welldone and the rest of you on "Steel Chickens". All Leupold target scopes are now made in the "custom shop", that is why they don't show up on normal Leupold product searches. The most popular Silhouette scope is still the FX-3, 25X with 1/2 min dot (66850). Another option is the VX-3i, 6.5-20X40 EFR Target (170885), they can be factory fitted with a 1/2 min. dot also. PM me for the lowest price anywhere .

leupold informs that the FX3 12x,25x, and 30x are no longer available even through the custom shop. You will be advised to find remaining stocks in retailers

When closely watching Leupold videos and reading Leupold advertising , there are many more inconsistencies than just which product they are going to manufacture.

You may have noticed that Leupold replaced the VX3 product line with the VX3i, consolidated the VX1 and most of the VX2 lines into the Freedom series, and they've even updated their high-end models. It will take a while for the chaos to clear, in their product line and probably management, too.

Low volume models like the FX3-12, 25, and 30 may return when the smoke clears, but meantime it's "new old stock," used, or the VX3i 6.5-20x40 that Pete suggested. That's what I have (should have gone to Pete and gotten the right reticle) on a new 6.5cm that I hope to stay healthy enough to shoot this summer.

I hope are correct and Leupold has not abandoned the FX3 series of rifle scopes.

Some of Leupold's new models are interesting, but they may have already discontinued some VX3i models while new models keep coming out. I hope they know where they're trying to go because it would be awful to see a quality American manufacture stumble.
