mueller scopes

Post by p14shooter »

There has not been any new news on these scopes in a couple years looking through the site. There were a couple good posts, but most were not happy with the reliability by the sounds of things. Has anything changed for the better? Anyone running these consistently with good results? Anyone using them as bats?

I had that exact scope on a 40X benchrest rifle for a time. It wasn't a great scope, but it was a great value. I actually think I still have it in a drawer somewhere. I tested the scope shooting the same POA each shot adjusting the turrets to have POI move in a box. It performed successfully the one time I tried it. Outside of that, I almost never adjusted the scope. I can't say how long the turrets would be repeatable, but they were at least the once I attempted it.

For whatever it's worth, I don't hold a lot of confidence in Chinese scopes specifically with those the turrets are constantly adjusted on. Your mileage may vary.
