I have been looking for a nice set of aluminum vertical split scope rings. The issuer is that my favorite rings, Warne, are made out of steel and places my 1712 too close to the upper weight limit for my comfort.
I recently discovered EGW makes vertical split scope rings out of aluminum that look rather nice


Does anyone here have any experience with EGW scope rings?

David, I don't have the rings you are talking about, but I have several of their bases and a set of the tactical 30mm rings. I've been satisfied with quality vs cost, especially with the bases.

Thank you. I do have one of their bases on my Remington 700; it seemed to be well made. I have no experience with their rings. I suppose I should just order up a set and see how they perform.
