FYI On Bushnell 4200's
Hey shooters,
I'm newly registered, but been reading a while. Thanks to all for the great info. NOW, as a cautionary FYI to fellow shooters. I built a REALLY nice target 10/22 and put a 4200 4-16x50 on it. It says on the website, doesn't include a sunshade. BUT, what it SHOULD say is, they don't make one that will fit this scope. There is NO sunshade for these models. Customer service told me, unless it comes with a sunshade, there isn't one that will fit it. Which is weird because SWFA offers a FREE sunshade with the scope if you buy it from them. Bushnell finally sent me a sunshade to try from another 50mm 4200 model, after several nasty notes from me, and it does NOT fit, they are right.
It's too bad, cause it's an EXCELLENT scope. Clear, the side focus goes down to 25 yards, so it's perfect for smallbore, and the target turrets do a great box test.
