Turrets

Post by Sophia »

Okay, a really rookie question here... don't laugh too hard.

Aside from being really tall and, presumably, easier to grab and adjust as a result, are "target" style" scope turrets any different from the regular style?

They are easier to see the numbers on and easier to adjust ("grab" as you said"). I can't imagine trying to shoot a silhouette match without them, and I definitely wouldn't drop a lot of money into a good scope that didn't have them.

With the amount(volume) of adjustment that you have to make during the length of a match it is advisable to have a target knob( "taller and eaiser to grab").
I have seen the regular knobs used but not by a lot of people.
