FT Match at Falls Township Rifle & Pistol.

Post by slowstdy »

FT Match at Falls Township Rifle & Pistol, Morrisville PA, Sunday July 29th.
You can shoot this Match using your Air rifle Silhouette settings. There is even a standing class.
Match starts at 9:30am, most likley 10:00am, but if you can't make it that early don't worry, you can start later. Range will be open from 7:30am. We have a very nice sight in range next to the course, if targets are not at the distances you require we will be pleased to but some out for you.
The Match is on the Archery grounds at the back of the club, just follow the Archery signs, please drive slowly and enjoy the views.
The course has been designed and laid out on part of our 12 acre 3D Archery course. Designed by Dave Carpenter and Rich Bassett.
Although this is the first match at the club, there is a lot of FT experienced people in the club. Rich Bassett has been a course designer for many years. Club members include National, State Champions and International FT shooters, all who have had input.
Course knowledge has been limited to 2 people, and they do not know the actual distances. Course details will be published at the match. Primarily the course has been designed for safety, secondary for enjoyment, and thirdly as a challenge.
The course has been designed as a warmup for the World Championship in October, an ambitious step you may think, lets see.....
The course will have something for everyone, from the very beginner to the well seasoned master, in all classes.
The 3D Archery course is also a wild life refuge, with a wide variety of wild life, many of the targets have been chosen to reflect the homes of the wildlife near their positions, hopefully they will come out and watch us shoot!! Look out for the very friendly and curious Skunk family, the Ginny Foul, Deer, Ground Hogs and the families of Silver Foxes. Not to mention the birds, butterflies and bugs. Please try not to shoot the real animals...
The Club will be open for everyone to enjoy, you are welcome to use all our facilities, 60 Acres in total. The rest of the Archery area makes a very nice walk with views of the lake.
Lunch will be provided at a small cost by the Archers.
For safety there will be 2 small areas that whilst the Match is in progress is out of bounds, please respect these closed off areas, they are closed off for your own safety and the safety of others. Hope to see you there. Cheers Limey.
