Y’all can say I’m insane. I’ve had much worse said about me. But I am testing the waters to see if this may contribute to the sport. I have a Williams aperture rear sight with a fiber optic on front of my air rifle.
Do you have an air rifle with iron sights on it? Any air rifle in .177, .20, or .22 caliber, with any iron sights qualifys.
I have a full set of 1/5th scale animals cut with a water jet out of thin metal that will be at the normal air rifle distances.
I say if you do, bring it. Shoot your 40 shot match anytime starting Friday the 9th. $10 entry fee with 100% payback to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. You can shoot as many as you have $10 to pay. Your best score is what counts.
Spot died. We are all head up. No rifle restrictions other than must have some type of iron sights.
I’m in. If I’m the only one at least I’ll break even.

I have the aperture sights that came with my Target rifle but I've never used them. They're designed for 10m so I don't know if they would have the adjustment range necessary to make it out to 45 yards.

Danny: That sounds like fun. Now I just need a rifle with open sights.

Allen: There is only one way to find out. Put them on your rifle and try them.

That’s a deal dodaddy. In fact, seeing as shooting this side match will not be interfering with Target, Open or Springer, the Gamo will be available to anyone that wants to try their hand at this. The Gamo is a underlever. It shoots good but the trigger leaves a lot to be desired.

Too bad it will be on Friday. The 4-H gang we are bringing would feel right at home shooting an open sights match. Unfortunately, we can't leave until after school on Friday.

Perfect. We will bring a few open sight rifles (for even more of a challenge - they are 10m target rifles so they are also low powered). We are more than happy to share so anyone needing an open sight rifle for this side game is more than welcome to borrow one of ours.

We decided a cabin was too small and changed our reservation to the lodge. At this point, it looks like we will be bringing 7 kiddos.
