best open sight springer

I have been doing some research and Im thinking about the HW77 (Forest laminate) because it is basically the HW97 with sights and a different stock. Not sure about the HW90 gas piston you can adjust power on this model. Does the fixed barrel have a advantage with open sights? This is for practice in my home range. There are no matches close to me. Who knows I may have to travel for a couple of matches.
