39a Firing Pin
One of my 39a rifles started misfiring. Pulled the pin it was blunted no doubt from dry firing years ago. Think it's about 1955 vintage. Got her up and running with a file back home
I want to buy a new pin to carry as a spare. I broke one in my first 39a about 50 years ago, could happen again. Anybody try the new pins from Wisners ? Other parts I have bought from them are nice. What about new Marlin pins like Brownells sells, any good ? Assume either is going to need fitting to the bolt.

The Wisner pin was oversized - took a lot of stoning to get it to slide freely in the groove. About an hour's work. It is still tight, but I haven't had any issue with it.

Overheard at the Dairy Queen "I live in Port Aransas, but I'm not from here...you can tell because I have all my own teeth."

Kind of what I figured, from his other stuff. Pins hard not real, easy to fit. Might go for marlin factory first.
Thanks

Try Out Back Gun Parts 812-945-0480. He has all kinds of original Marlin and Winchester parts. He told me he has millions of parts for Marlin rifles. Besides he is a good guy to discuss gun problems with.
