60 shot smallbore CLA record

At the Southwest Regional on 10/29/17, John Mullins set a new national record of 59/60, with his only miss being his last animal, a turkey! We had great conditions for both days, a terrific match. Many thanks to Bob and Jeanie Hershey for putting it on and to Bill Cole for maintaining the resetable targets.

Yeah, it is a real challenge as a spotter to keep repeating "center for elevation, center for windage" after almost every shot, lol.

Amazing shooting!
Not a 60 round match, but Larry Weir shot two perfect 40 round matches in a row at Haltom City a few months ago. Mind blowing.

I had heard that Larry is shooting well. Hopefully we will get to see them shoot against one another at the Nationals again this year!

If those 2 matches were part of an aggregate, then I would argue that he has a record for an 80 shot match. And a perfect score in an 80 shot match would, in my mind, qualify as a perfect score in the 60 shot match as well.

Unfortunately I missed that particular match, but it was a 40 round small bore match in the morning, followed by a 40 round pistol cartridge match in the afternoon.
I'm not sure what Larry shoots with in pistol cartridge.
