I think I need a Henry

While at the range today, a friend showed up with a new rifle. It was a Henry Frontier .22LR with the 24" barrel. He installed the popular peep sights and got a quick 40 meter zero. That rifle loves SK plus. He handed it to me for a look see. Wow.... the fit, finish and balance was suburb. And that lever cycling felt like the whole assembly was on jeweled bearings. Smooth to say the least. The deep blue on polished steel was reminiscent of a Colt Python....almost. Real walnut stocks, too. The trigger was rough and needed some attention. This was the first Henry I have ever handled. A very nice rifle for the $400.00 he paid for it.
I hit the 60 meter pig swinger off hand (the small bore 1/5th size) five in a row with the SK ammo. I think I am going to get one of these Frontier rifles...soon. Just for fun, no lever silhouette for this guy.
