It's on the NRA website. The nationals for levergun are at Raton . The dates are July4 to July 8 ,2019. Don't know who is going to run it but rumor has it a change in for format . From what I hear it will be smallbore ,pistol, then bigbore . I like that better of course some wont. Can't make everyone happy.

You are correct, smallbore first, then pistol cartridge, and end with rifle caliber.

Thanks for the info, shame they all ways seem to plan these things over a holiday, most likely will miss the first day or two.
Never fond of being away from my family over major holidays. :(

I like the new format, I have always thought it should end with a bang and not a pop.
We ran our California State Match this way, I've been pushing for this for many years, hope it works well.

Dennis

Can you tell us why? It doesn't matter to me, but I'm curious about the rationale.

Are you running it again?

BPTR is first, shooting Creedmoor only. Then comes BPCR, starting off with irons, then scope. There is more carryover of shooters from BPTR to iron than scope. After BPCR scope is the .22 BPCR match. They will be using the long range pistol range for that match, as always, so it would be impossible to start lever action with rifle caliber since we would need to be in that stat house at least two days before the start of the match. Lever action immediately follows the .22 BPCR match.

Maybe some .22 BPCR competitors that don't normally shoot lever action will stay for smallbore lever action.

FWIW I (and most people I discus it with) prefer that order. Least flinch inducing to most....

YMMV and IMHO... I'll shoot any order they tell me to.

Jeanne, what is with the extra day?
1 day smallbore, 1 day PC , 2 days Long range.
I count 4 days, but it looks like 5.
I hope they made a mistake and first day starts on the 5th of July (or better for me, the 6th)

Thanks, Dennis

Where can I find the online registration form for the lever action nationals? I can't find it on the NRA website.

Hi Jeanne,

What's the word on scoring this year? Same as last year, or will we have scorers?

Thanks,
Greg
