Christmas is here... in the form of a Marlin...
Now I gotta find some sights, a trigger job, although it did come with everything else (ammo, brass, bullets, dies, even a Lyman Bullet Mold)... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!

I just got one of those myself a little while back. Before you spend megabucks on a trigger job, get the Wolff spring kit from Brownell's , only a few dollars, 60 seconds to install, even a caveman can do it. Took my trigger pull down from almost 5 pounds to 2 3/4 pounds, zero creep. Good enough for girls I go with! If you are going to get the Marbles tang sight, you need the tall Lyman 17a to go with it, I think the height is .594 or thereabouts, any shorter wont work.
I LOVE my little 32-20, it is a great shooter and the feel of the gun is almost identical to my 39a. Let us know how you come out.

Ok, I shoved a mix of some factory ammo in the tube today and after taking about 15-20 sighters to get the feel for her, I put her into quick play for today's 40 shot match. I took 15 with the factory sights and trigger - had to really guess where she was hitting on a few animals, but all in all it was a sweet shooter all morning long... Can't wait to start hand loading her for the matches... A few months ago I picked up a S&W m1905 in .32-20 as her companion - they make a heck of a pair.

Our smallbore and PC matches at Machias are on the 19th. You need to practice with that new rifle and get used to it, so I expect to see you there.mordecai wrote:Ok, I shoved a mix of some factory ammo in the tube today and after taking about 15-20 sighters to get the feel for her, I put her into quick play for today's 40 shot match.
